The M2 Machine Gun or Browning.50 Caliber Machine Gun is a heavy machine gun designed toward the end of World War I by John Browning. Its design is similar to Browning's earlier M1919 Browning machine gun, which was chambered for the.30-06 cartridge. The M2 uses the much larger and much more powerful.50 BMG cartridge, which was developed alongside and takes its name from the gun itself. It has been referred to as "Ma Deuce", in reference to its M2 nomenclature. The design has had many specific designations; the official designation for the current infantry type is Browning Machine Gun, Cal..50, M2, HB, Flexible. It is a short recoil, locked by falling block gun. Not sure the proper word for this falling block.
When the gun is fireing, barrel with barrel extention (yellow) and locked bolt (green, above the extention) recoil back. The buffer (green, at the bottom back side) is stationary in the back. At some point the side pegs (green) of the locking block (pink, inside the barrel extention) meet with diagonal cuts on the side bars (blue) of the buffer assembly, locking block goes down, bolt is unlocked. Right as the bolt gets unlocked, accelerator (pink, curvy part below the back side of the bolt) is in position to tranfer the energy of moving barrel an barrel extention to the bolt with mechanical advantage. Case is extracted and so on.
Buffer is there to decelerate barrel and barel extention, and push them back forward. Recoil spring helps to decalerate the barrel and extention untill the bolt is unlocked, and then works only on the bolt.

I have a question about the automatic fire. when the trigger is pressed the trigger bar is depressed so it presses down the sear, the firing pin extension is released and the first shot is fired; the bolt is pushed back, the firing pin is reset and the next round is chambered, and the second shot should fire.
But shouldn't there be a very short delay after the round is chambered and before the sear is depressed, so that the round can be locked before the sear releases the firing pin extension?
I just don't see it in the animation, which superb BTW, so i don't know where or what to look at to see the sear hold the firing pin extension for a moment longer so the round could be properly locked in the chamber.
To me it seems that as soon as the bolt returns, the top of the sear is engaged by the pressed-down trigger bar. If so the firing pin should be released before the round is locked in the chamber.
Or does the M2 Bronwing operate in this respect as an open bolt: and the the bolt hits the round with a released/extended firing pin? ( This I wouldn't think so. That should damage the firing pin at least)

brech lock will be push up by brech lock cam to lock the bolt after that sear will be push down again by the trigger to continue the automatic fire. it seem like animation problem, we found animation problem in FAMASA burst fire mechanism so it might also happen in M2 browning animation.

The gun fires AS the bolt barrel barrel extension, entire mass is moveing forward.
Gun cannot fire until locked
By the time the sear hits the trigger bar, the barrel and bolt are already locked together and in battery. What you are seeing is the barrel ever so slightly moving foward at the very very end of its travel while the firing pin is released. If the bolt is not fully in battery and the barrel not fully foward, then the pink arm above (and also the the pink claw below to some extent) the firing pin extension will prevent the firing pin from extruding enough to contact the primer.

And I have never seen a pull tab on a belt of .50 cal ammo manufactured by any country that I have used.
Rear sight os not correct. Sight box is not square on a real gun. On a real gun the sight drifts hard as it is elavated up the box

The extractor is not lifted to load, only one round is placed on the trunnion block not two as shown. But top load is no longer approved.
The side load is the only approved method. Cover closed , shove one round in the side

the major diffrence would be no bolt latch. The bolt has some different pieces, but works the same. the top cover is larger and larger pieces, but works the same

Why there id barret sound
they are firing the same round.
you can't even get the right sound fx? Major disliked wtf was that.
Just because its a 50 cal sound on a barreta doesn't mean it makes the same sound on a browning.
