But I always knew that I could subdue any one that was bad because they lack speed and strength over good who have always prepared themselves and have God on their side.

They are one of my greatest accomplishments in this world and some of my greatest treasures. I know many others were moved to do the same. Yes, besides standing up to bullies and his expertise in martial arts, there was always the social commentary that was a part of the movie that made it all come together and made going to the movies and incredible experience that lifted you up with hope.
Yes! He and Delores were a balance. The kids were set free from having to just accept that they were inferior, set free to think for themselves and know their own worth from within. So great!
The Billy Jack movies came out when I was in those awkward high school years and they changed my life. I had always tried to follow the doctrine of, “What Would Billy Jack Do?” And that had a lot to do with my growth as a person. To be fair though, the title of this clip should be “Billy Jack and Bong Soo Han to the Rescue.” Master Han stunt doubled for all the complex Hapkido kicks in the films. Actually the first Billy Jack movie was "Born Losers" where Billy takes on a motorcycle gang. You can get "Born Losers" "Billy Jack" "The Trial Of Billy Jack" & "Billy Jack Goes To Washington" all on dvd in one set. I have mine, & these movies REALLY hit home for me, as I myself am Native American & my sister is full Cherokee, & my mom was a full Shawnee. These movies weren't so much about race as they were about how the white man broke most if not all the treaty's they signed & they took away what WAS Indian land. But it was through the "Billy Jack" movies that got me to take an interest in not just the martial arts but Hapkido the same kind that was used in the "Billy Jack" movies.
Ice Cream shop where the foot along the side of the head was filmed is still there. Great Scene, BJ pulls up to the shop, the Bullies not knowing he is about to walk in.

Sir,thank you for your service, my dad,was also,in the battle of guade canal
I once took 3 Army berets and a navy seal. :-)
God I miss Tom Laughlin. Billy Jack series was great but his "Master Gunfighter" got so little recognition and was just as good in my opinion. RIP Tom, you are sorely missed but still loved and respected here.
Nice kicks by Master Bong Soo Han, Korean Hapkido instructor and stunt double to Tom Laughlin.
His feet and fist were as hard as steel but his heart was soft and kind. What a great man and his legacy will live in the minds and hearts of all who came to know him as “Billy Jack”
One of my favorite movies when I was a kid, they should have made Billy Jack into a TV series
I think he tried too make it in a rv series
Best kicks ever filmed. 3 of the kicks were without a loss of power or balance and from the same left foot in place on the ground. Awesome.
He had a double in many scenes Hapkido expert Bong Soon Han. Have to watch this closely to see if it's a double.
@@jakemay637 I watched an episode of ‘Dinner and a Movie’ showing ‘Billy Jack’ with Tom Laughlin on the phone discussing the movie during commercial/intermission breaks where he proceeded to take all credit for the excellent Hapkido techniques in the movie without any mention of Bong soo Han being his body double and expert martial arts stand in. I lost all respect for Tom from that moment on.
BILLY JACK WAS THE MAN I USED TO REALLY ENJOY HIS MOVIES I TELL PEOPLE ABOUT HIM TODAY AND MOST ARE CLUELESS UNLESS THEY ARE MY AGE 50
I remember seeing Billy Jack in a theater a year or two after I got out of the Army in 1970. The song from the movie "One Tin Soldier" got some airplay on radio at the time. I later saw one of his earlier films "Born Losers" which was a good film.
always loved watching Billy Jack.
That name...Billy Jack...was brilliant....made the whole project successful.....it just stuck with the audience.....the other is the hat.......
Still have VHS.
A pure jewel of an actor.
One of my teenage heroes in the movies he made and in his life He stood up for what he believed was right.
Yes.
Billy Jack movies are so underrated. It was a time when I was growing up. If you don't understand the Era, then you're probably lost in his movies.
I saw this movie in 73. Still love it
Great movie. Great actor. And I wish there were more like him.
Yes sir Great actor.. there is none like him
Always loved this man !!! Rest in peace my friend.
I loved the Billy Jack movies. They were even better on the big screen.
Always loved his movies! He was great! 🕺
I wish there were more pictures of Tom Laughlin ( Billy Jack ) I have looked at them again and again. Pictures of him and his family would be very nice. I realize that he only had the 4 movies but any pictures would be nice especially to his fans!!!
One of the many reasons that I became a Force Recon Marine..Thank you Tom...RIP
Marine recon,trained by Green berets!
Great movies. I still have my 33 1/3 rpm records. Thanks for sharing.
"You can't say I didn't warn ya." Classic.
I remember seeing billy jack as a kid being amazed them kicks the way the filmed it double takes n slow motion !!!!! Such a hero to the underdogs right up there with Bruce lee n Jim Kelly and king fu
Tom Laughlin is why I took up TAEKWONDO. And became an Instructor. I am 65 an still get excited about the phrase "THERE IS NOT A THING YOU ARE GOING TO BE ABLE TO DO ABOUT IT. A cool mind is a relaxed mind and has clearer thinking.
billy jack was the coolest dude I ever saw, seen every movie when it came was released.
You must be old
Bong-Soo Han , the stunt double, and actual performer of those fights in the Billy Jack movies:
August 25, 1933 - January 8, 2007. RIP
Tom did study martial arts, and did eventually get a black belt, but was not capable of what you see in his movies.
Had pizza with Tom years ago , very wonderful person, down to earth. Billy Jack was a true representative of the good person he was

These movies are valuble.
They demonstrate heroism; caring for and protecting people that are not able to protect themselves.
I know there are people today, that talk and act this caring.
Stand up.
Look around.
I don't know why there's not more Billy Jack either on TH-cam. It's cool
