I want to move into your old bathroom. I miss having a window in my bathroom, and your media set up in the shower is bomb. As a plant mom too, my bathroom would look like a jungle. In my current apartment, after numerous hits and misses, I only buy shade loving plants. My two windows face east, and by noon, there is no light up in this place. The plants are happy and thriving. Some get watered once a month. It can be tempting to give them a sip, but I’ve killed off Dieffenbachias, Monsteras and Peace Lilies by over or under watering. Once I decide where a plant is going to live, I don’t move it to a different room. Periodttt!
The bathroom is what I miss the most. Having a window really helps especially when it comes to plants! I was just starting out during that time so my bathroom plant collection it didn’t get to reach it’s full potential at the time, but I will say it’s definitely something to look for in my next home! Also, do what indeed works for you!! I totally understand the reasoning behind not wanting to move your plants around too much. Consistency is key in a lot of cases! I’m sure your plants are loving the attention as well haha. ❤❤
I’ve only recently experienced pests in my new apartment to be honest. I’ve tried mixing equal parts hydrogen peroxide and water, and it does a good job in getting rid of pests. Hope this helps!
@@itsnkenge Thanks, I just started using the same mixture on my plants last week, I live in the Midwest. When it started warming up, I started seeing little flying bugs lingering around 2 of my house plants.
Hi Nkenge, I hope you are doing well. I saw your video on CNBC Make it and I love your apartment so much!! I just wanted to know if you can please provide the websites you used to apply for NYC housing lotteries. Thank you.
Yes girl! As I mentioned in the video, giveaways are definitely an option. I already give some to family/friends too. I’d run out of storage space really quickly if I didn’t lol

Hey I’m a new plant mom. Do you have any tips for keeping pest outta your house plants? Your new and old apartments decor are beautiful. 😊
