I am not sure that tecnique specific exercises with rubber bands is effective at all. I have done shotokan karate combined with all kinds of strength training for the last 30 yrs. I looks fancy but not good. If you wanna be faster, you need to activate type II muscle fibers, and to do so you need heavy stimulus. So train karate with no resistance and combine with some heavy weight training like squat ect. and combine with plyometric exercises as well. Train like the pros......... When I was competing in karate years ago I trained with the sprinters in a track club. That's the kind of training you need!
