Looks so good Ms. TN North! The Mac & cheese looks wonderful! The last time I made it from scratch was on the 4th of July soon to be 9 years ago when my dad was still alive. He had been sick for several months and home made Mac & cheese is all he wanted that day. He had lost a lot of weight because he had no appetite for months. You said you don't always make it the same way twice and I know that is true because I never do either. However I believe that pan I made for Dad was the best I have ever made because Dad had 3 servings and told me it was the best he had ever had! Later that night Dad was rushed to the hospital with pneumonia and he passed 4 days later. 😢 I miss him every day.

I was told that it would kill other snakes that were harmful. Those were the good old days back in South Carolina and listening to you brings back those memories. Thanks for your experiences.
Immediately. I was just scrolling one day and passed you back but then I scrolled back. Ms. Tennessee North/ you almost instantly decreased my stress level just by talking. I couldn’t believe it, plus my BP went from 178/160 to 134/82 by the end. The next day I’m giving thanks back. I made this meal and gave it to a family who had only cereal for two days. I smiled for the first time in 65 days. Thank you for just being on. Again. Again and again.

Hey my friend ❤. I know all about those wonderful spring turnip greens. My Mom called them “turnip salad”. I love the flavor and that kinda bitter taste! I always make hot water cornbread when I cook greens. This year, as a matter of fact, I put up 3 cases. My sister always gets me my first case of greens for my birthday (March26) then I bought 2 more. My sister must have put up 4 or 5 cases😊. And these greens you can only get once a year. I’m like you, I LOVE turnip greens and mustard greens!!!!! I love your story!! As a child we had acres of cucumbers. One day I found a snake on my row. Honey, I took off running too. I didn’t stop til I got out of that field. Sadly, I had to go back the next day. Anyway, your meals are always fantastic!!❤ I always look forward to your memories!!!

It’s good seeing you feeling back to normal. I grew up on a farm. My grandpa said pay no attention to ❤the bugs. I loved harvesting our meals. I didn’t like house work. I would climb a tree, and go to sleep, just so I didn’t have to wash dishes. I love roast.

She wasn't big on seasoning up things. But she cooked the best fried chicken and roast. Just watching you eat makes me so hungry!! I can't eat the food I used to and I miss ir so much. I grew up on a farm about 18 miles south of Nashville. We used to pick blueberries and my mama would make blueberry dumplings.What I wouldn't give for a bowl right about now. As for greens...if I can't have hot water cornbread with em I can't have em. Yes,I can eat greens everyday. My daughter bought me an electric peeler and it's a life saver for my arthritic hands. We eat a lot of potatoes!

I was born and raised in California as a kid we would go to this farm a few times a year and pick black eye peas, purple hulls, and string beans. For the hog maws trying boiling them and once done take them out of the pot and flour and season like you do chicken and man delicious. My Dad and Mom use to make them like that. I love turnip greens with the turnip delicious as do not like greens.

Momma fed us beets as kids but as an adult I went to Minnesota 2 yrs ago to a farmers market and I met some Amish and they WERE SELLING EVERYTHING but these jar pickled beets and jar pickles and fudge. Yes indeed so delicious it didn't last me long. I was so ticked about snake swinging on the limb I about fell over laughing bcuz me and momma would take off running too. Them snakes do too much lol

Thank you Jeanne, I use self rising Martha White cornmeal, but you can use any meal that you want, it don’t have to be self rising plain will do just fine. You have to use boiling hot water, it cooks the meal, then you fry it in a skillet to golden brown. Just two ingredients that’s all.🥰
I'm in South Carolina scare of bugs ,🦎, frogs ,I see it all and that scares me all the time and yea butterflies 🦋 any bugs that gets on me I don't like at all .😭

I use Martha White, self rising meal and plain hot, boiling water that’s it. you can use any meal of your choice doesn’t have to be self rising. It can be plain and that’s all just a two ingredients and fry it up the hot water cooks the meal.🥰

I just want you to know I truly enjoy your channel… so often , I feel like I really identify with you… I too am 60 and I enjoy cooking and baking for my family… i wanted to ask the brand name of the chow chow you had in one of your videos… I live in Ohio and Chow Chow is not something we find in the grocery stores, so I may have to order it

Thank you Jeanne, I use self rising Martha White cornmeal, but you can use any meal that you want, it don’t have to be self rising plain will do just fine. You have to use boiling hot water, it cooks the meal, then you fry it in a skillet to golden brown. Just two ingredients that’s all.🥰

I'm in South Carolina scare of bugs ,🦎, frogs ,I see it all and that scares me all the time and yea butterflies 🦋 any bugs that gets on me I don't like at all .😭

I use Martha White, self rising meal and plain hot, boiling water that’s it. you can use any meal of your choice doesn’t have to be self rising. It can be plain and that’s all just a two ingredients and fry it up the hot water cooks the meal.🥰
