Dinosaurs at the 50's Diner | Peggy Sue's Diner

This gem in the desert is the oldest diner in California on Route 66. We stopped for breakfast and soaked up the nostalgic decor as well as quite a few carbs! This is a must-stop for any journey along Interstate 15. In addition to the diner, there's a wonderful five-and-dime shop (complete with soda fountain) plus a lovely outdoor dinosaur park (please don't feed the diner-saurs!)
We are on a permanent road trip with the goal of eating food all over the country and bringing reviews to you. Come along with us as we sample new cuisine and try many local and regional corporate restaurants along the way.

Just watched this. The Chicken Fried Steak is actually a pounded cube steak. Pat it dry. Dip in seasoned flour, seasoned egg and milk, and the big secret. crushed seasoned saltine crackers. So good. That is how I make mine, then make the creamed gravy out of the drippings. With flour, milk, and seasonings. We also do it with seasoned hamburger instead of the cube steak. Thanks for the videos. I just had a double mastectomy, 4 days ago in Laa Vegas, so I am enjoying your videos. Keep it up. 😊

Can't tell you how many times I have driven I-15 and have never stopped there. Often we drive straight through from LA to Vegas or make one stop in Barstow. Thanks for taking us along. It was great to see what I've actually missed. Be careful out there on the roads!

Rude help and rotten over priced food . I made the sad mistake for stopping here for breakfast once . Watered down coffee , milk gravy made with water . Breakfasts is one of the cheapest easiest meals to make .
