As a driver of Volkswagens for 50 years, it pains me to see this kind of ABUSE of a classic Volkswagen ! The only thing WORSE would be to see it abandoned, rusting and forgotten altogether. This is just a little better. Better even yet would be to see it restored properly. As it is, this car is unsightly as well as UNSAFE. Did you notice the sparks flying from the bottom as it scrapes along the asphalt ? This car as it sits, is a danger to its driver as well as others...Hopefully, the driver of this mess will in time see the error of his ways and will get to work doing things correctly.
ahaha LOL it's a beetle with an injected engine, completely perfect in structure and mechanics, it travels around 1,000 km to events without any mechanical problems :) What's more, the suspension is adjustable. I believe that as an aircooled enthusiast for over 50 years, you should follow others' projects more and know more about them before making any non-constructive opinions, anyway, I wish you the best of luck. moreover, he owned 2 more examples of beautiful aircooled of respect, in addition to other admirable toys. appearances can be deceiving young man!
@@georgskt Let me address these points in turn: 1) Beetles were not designed to be high performance race cars. For people that wanted this, they offered the Ghia and if that wasn't enough, a whole lineup of Porsche models. 2) Reliability ? Mechanical problems ? That's just what a stock beetle provides and what this car lacks...highly modified beetles are notorious for these problems. Just ask anyone who's owned one ! 3) Adjustable suspension or not, if it lacks sufficient road clearance it will scrape the road surface causing loss of control and it will preheat the oil in the sump causing the engine to run hot and overheat...a real problem for an air cooled car. 4) These are not just 'opinions'; they are FACTS. 5) "Appearances can be deceiving..." I need only add, "If it looks like a rat, if it sounds like a rat, if it feels like a rat, if it smells like a rat...it IS a rat..."
