This composition by the AIC Makongoro choir takes me back in time. Listening to the late Timothy Kamau presenting WIMBO NIUPENDAO on then Voice of Kenya national service every Sunday afternoon from 3.00pm. Wonderful choral music which left us blessed abundantly. I was always mesmerised by the guy in a gruff raspy baritone voice always heard at the end of a stanza.
It was a great blessing to me in the 80s and until today it remains my best. As a choirmaster in Gatuntune PCEA church Igoji - Meru , i trained the choir all these songs and the church grew mightly.
These Gospel Songs are still very relevant. I am very much blessed by these songs since the seventies up to date. Doing them in church reason being they are rich in God's Word.
