Even to this day, when women I go out with (who are my age or older, so we're talking 40+ now) say "how come you don't want to be monogamous?"
I tell them "Go watch that Boy Meets World episode where Cory goes on a ski trip and one of the chicks who works there makes a move on him. I don't want to deal with any of the bullshit that entails. I like you way too much to pressure you that way. I only hope you like me the same way. I don't want you or me to be restrained like that. Ever.
Some like it and appreciate it. Most don't because they like the feeling of control that monogamy gives em. They want someone to boss around.
My love life got WAY better once I learned that monogamy is stupid and you should just learn to walk away if you feel like you're someone's property.
And even when I watched this for the first time in junior college I was like "fuck me, why does it feel like Cory is Topanga's property?"
1:05 Cory should have followed his parents example. If Cory had, then Topanga never would’ve broken up with him.
Should have listened to his mother and dads story. When she said that I never let you go out with Theresa and flat out said we would have never been married this day
Wonder why Linda cardellini wasn't cast as a love interest in the wonder years instead since she is closest to Fred savage's age! Love this show

Lindsey Weir!
I disliked Amy so much through the shows run. I disliked her when it came to Cory and topangas relationship so much. Her advice was always terrible. She wants just wanted to seem like she’s right. She never liked topanga. In GMW they say it a lot and show how much Amy really didn’t like her.
It's a t.v show
I was wrong sorry about that because I know about what happened because that’s not true about Lauren and Corey because they like each other because Lauren over here, about Cory because he wants to stay at the place with Lauren because he likes her. I know about the truth because the truth is about Cory and Topanga, always fight all the time because Corey did the right thing to say we’re talking to her. It was not making a move on her because he loves talking to Lauren. My idea is everyone has to stop hating her Lauren. I like her because she has feelings about Corey like friends, not girlfriend friends. It’s just friends. I got that right Topanga was wrong because Corey loves talking to her about his problem about Topanga that’s why that happened. I felt sorry for Lauren. I do sorry about that. That could be true. I want to say that so bad sorry about that. It could be true.
homewrecker
LOL jk
I like her so much better than Topanga
Lauren is better than topanga
In what way ?? They seem equivalent.
@@josephanthony1655 ummm…Lauren is played by Linda Cardellini. Case closed. Lol…
@@whywelovefilm7079 And Topanga was played by Danielle Fishel.... Similar case.
@@josephanthony1655 Fischel has no toosh whatsoever. I like a semi plump bum. Plus Linda is better looking
@@josephanthony1655 Both are very beautiful girls but career wise Cardellini has been in bigger things since BMW ended.
Unpopular opinion, but I LOVED Lauren. She's the kind of girl who'd take you to a strip club for your birthday and pick out who the two of you are going home with. She's also the kind of girl who'd cut someone for throwing shade at you. She'd have your back no matter what and she'd fight tooth and nail for what was hers rather than break up with you because you made the mistake of doing what she told you to do in the first place.
Sounds like you're describing a pick-me
@@FeministCatwoman LOL - I absolutely love that term. Nothing describes the neo-feminist mindset better than an official term intended to marginalize and demean women who seek happiness and fulfillment in a way other than what pre-approved narrative requires. It reminds me of a realization I had a few years back: I know more happy women than I can count, but I've never met a happy feminist.
