My Husband's Lover tells the story of Vincent (Tom Rodriguez) who got his girlfriend Lally (Carla Abellana) pregnant while they were still in college. They decided to get married even if Vincent's mother Elaine (Kuh Ledesma) was very much against it. Thus Lally's married life was never smooth-sailing. But for the love for her husband, Lally endures her controlling mother-in-law.
However, when Lally got pregnant with their second child, Vincent suddenly became distant and cold towards her. Lally felt that Vincent was being unfair to her so she decided to leave together with their children. Vincent loves his kids so much, so he tried to win back his wife by proposing and this time getting married again with the blessings of the church.
Lally and Vincent's married life became better after the church wedding. But unknown to Lally, Vincent is keeping a secret from her - a secret he kept from everyone else ever since he was young.
He is a closeted gay.

i cried so much on this show. grabe yung epekto nya sa'kin. it's not your typical gay love/relationship. this could happen in real life. it's not all about lust, it's a love story that could happen to all sexual preferences. i bet there's a lally out there somewhere. i admire and i have high respect for her courage, patience and love. she'd rather take the backseat for as long as the people she loves are happy. now that's true love. for vincent, he reminds me so much of my college friend.we were really close and his dad was the commander of the military base in my hometown. it brought back so many memories of how we helped him hide his true identity whenever we visit their home. he had to act like a straight man. for eric, you would get angry at his character first but you'll grow to live him. he faith that him vincent are meant to be together kept him going. same as vincent loves him with all his heart. i would probably watch this show again! and cry all over again,hah!

ngayon ko lang to napnood. nung elementary kasi ako hindi consistent yung pagnood ko nito, ate ko lang yung tutok na tutok dito. Now na college na ako at napapanood ko ito. Ang masasabi ko lang ay WOW!!! ang galing galing ng pagkakagawa nito, gustong gusto ko yung way na pinakita yung POV ni Carla. Kaya naman pala sumikat si Tom Rodriguez kasi ang ganda ganda nitong serye. Ngayon gets ko na kung bakit sikat at controversial ito before.

Nag binge watch ako ng mga past teleserye ng GMA at ang gaganda naman, well merong pangit like Kara Mia yung kay Barbie na kambal ulo, pero mas marami parin yung maganda ang series na nagawa nila. Dapat sibakin na nila sa work yung writer nung gumawa ng Kara Mia, ni search ko sa google na halos lahat ng gawa ng writer ng Kara Mia e pangit, nadadamay pa tuloy ang GMA

First time to see Rodriguez in action. Not bad, but I do love those dimples. Trillo on the otherhand was excellent in his portrayal of a refined gay man. Very effortless. Loved this drama. It was an eye opener for me as I was not aware there are different kinds of gay men. Many thanks to the generous English subbers.
