- In this SMG4 Theory vid, I'll go through a theory of how mr puzzles could return, as well as explain the lore reveals we got in the SMG4 Movie: Puzzlevision

Hey all, so right away the answer to the title of this video is very, very likely a big no. This is because SMG4 has clearly stated in the comments of the movie that the puzzlevision saga has finished. And obviously, if mr puzzles were to return as a main antagonist, that would mean the saga would not be finished like they have said it is. But interestingly, they have sort of left room for him to possibly return.
We find out mr puzzles’ backstory in his creative control song. He was once actually a normal human, but he struggled in life and had no friends, and so would seek an escape from reality by constantly watching TV. This motivated him to get into the TV business, and it appears he wanted to become the premier show runner in the entire world. He became so dedicated to this goal that he shed his own body and cut off his own head and replaced it with a TV. He decided to specifically to attempt to take over the SMG4 show and its cast as he believed that turning the most stupid show he had ever seen into a masterpiece would prove that he was the best showrunner, and we can assume that his manipulation of the major events in 2023 were a trial run of sorts for him to test manipulating them to craft 5 star worthy shows, and to also see if they were 5 star actors. After the success of last year’s movies, he then moved onto the next phase of his plan, which involved sucking the main cast into his head and creating shows for his new streaming service, puzzlevision. Now that it has been confirmed that the puzzlevision episodes took place inside his TV head from the basement, this explains how he has those god like powers seen throughout the puzzlevision episodes.
Mr puzzles needed one of his show’s created in the tv realm to reach 5 stars, because this would give him full creative control over the smg4 cast in real life, and this would extend to include everyone else who lives in the smg4 universe. From this, we can assume that the 5 stars would grant him complete control over the smg4 channel, and for a met a reason, this gave him control over the entire smg4 universe, since the smg4 universe’s purpose is for the creation of content to be put on the smg4 you tube channel, as we learn in the cosmology saga. Mr Puzzles’ finally achieves this 5 star rating on his movie, after realising that directly controlling the characters was not working, and so he allowed the smg4 cast to regain their awareness and be themselves within the TV realm. This would allow them to create chaos, which has been crucial to the smg4 channel's success, since we all know that memey insanity is what has made smg4 so iconic, and this decision by mr puzzles did ultimately pay off.
However, it is unclear why getting a 5 star rating allowed mr puzzles to take control over the smg4 universe, as this is never explained in the movie. If I was to theorise the reason, perhaps it's because we know its smg4’s role to create the content in the universe. Perhaps mr puzzles usurping smg4 as the greatest content creator within the smg4 universe led to control over the smg4 channel being transferred to him, and with this came control over the smg4 universe. This is why mr puzzles lost his powers over the smg4 universe when smg4 made a show more highly rated than puzzlevision, as mr puzzles was no longer the greatest content creator. The only flaw in this theory is that obviously smg4 does not have the same level of control over the smg4 universe as mr puzzles did in the movie. Or does he? But in all seriousness, since we know smg4 is some sort of in universe manifestation, or self insert, of luke from real life, perhaps the universe controlling powers actually belonged to luke, while the content creation powers only belonged to smg4. We know luke has universe controlling powers, since he literally created the universe and he has the ability to delete the smg4 channel.
After losing his powers, we see mr puzzles become incredibly weakened, and he transforms back into his TV state, making him incredibly vulnerable. I don’t think this shows him dying, rather his mental state just became very shattered. We then see smg4 smash him away with luigi the meat mallet. Since we do not see him get destroyed on camera, this does actually leave writing room for him to be brought back, but as I explained earlier, I find this very unlikely. Although, looking back at the puzzlevision website, the image currenbtly displayed on there has an interesting name. It is called now airing, despite it depicting an end screen similar to the loony toons, and showing mr puzzles' head with the no signal screen, which would imply that nothing should be airing. Some people have said that this is evidence that mr puzzles will return, however i'm unsure
I hope it's like Zero, where he comes back, btw, they still didn't say anything about "SMG4's Perfect Video" that smg4 made in igbp movie, they also didn't bring up whats behind the door in the castle, and clench wasn't mentioned at all, this is 100% room for him to come back in the future

They prolly won't bring up what SMG4 made in IGBP, it was most likley made for drama, But they should do something with the door and clench

I think that he isnt the main leader as they never used the weird substance in the SMG4 perfect arc
A bigger boss would be really helpfull since the ratings where pretty vague way to managing his powers. And we hear in the start of the movie that he is hearing voices from either views or some boss thats manageing him. And they give us a lot of legitimate reasons to fear him. He was able to bring axol and desti back to torture meggy. And he was able to get inside smg4's head with the key board. And make him contemplate bringing back the older desgines. But there is no real root to that power like how smg0 has with the godbox, or being an Smg. Francis with the pen, and smg3 being a rival content creator. I was honestly really hopping as a last ditch effort he would hang the USB over smg4's head as a bribe to get him on his side.
I think he had a hand in the lawsuit arc since that arc just felt out of place and how did Lawyer Kong know of SMG4's arrival
He might come back maybe because of Mario since he is obsessed with tv?

I mean, it's not because Puzzlevision Saga is over that means he won't return, for example, SMG3. We all thought he was done for after TH-cam Arc but then he reappeared in Genesis and stayed in the show (Not saying Puzzles should be redeemed because I don't think he deserves it). Besides, I find it an odd choice instead of having his TV explode or having SMG4 crushing it to pieces, they just yeeted him away

I hope Mr.Puzzles returns, or person who helped Mr.Puzzles comes in person to the universe, cause I think Mr.Puzzles backstory, personality and goal was rushed in the movie, so I want to see more lore about Mr.Puzzles and the mysteries we still don't know about him...

A funny thing about Mr. Puzzles watching TV all day:
Here in Germany, a psychologist and teacher, who had children himself, wrote a book called "Der Struwwelpeter". Don't worry about the name, i explain it.
Basically the book and the story and the stories within it were all about black pedagogy, to scare and traumatize children that they would behave. There are many stories about children burning themselves to death, getting bitten by dogs, plunged into ink for laughing about a black child and so on.
Why am i telling this? Well, in order of time goes on and the fundamental principies of pedagogy shifting, the book became a revamp, which also contained the story about a child, that watches TV all day. The story is called "Die Geschichte vom fernsehverückten Frank" (roughly translated: "The Story of TV addict Frank").

One thing I don’t see many people question (it might not be important now but it still seems weird) is that Mr puzzles still has a star. (4:26 ) Guaranteed it is broken, but he has 1. He could rise back for power to take revenge on the SMG4 crew. So, I firmly believe he will come back as this ending felt underwhelming and not a proper confrontation at all.
He has to come back there are so many unanswered questions where did Meggy see the symbol before, what’s clenches deal, how did Mr puzzles have a demonic keyboard, The BOARDED DOOR, why did he give them the showgrounds? He just kinda has to return

The Mysterious Boarded Up Door that they forgot to talk about that door that is regarding something, How Mr. Puzzles created The Malice (demonic goop) to destroy Peach's Castle and what happened to Peach since she didn't appear in the movie it's likely that the effects of The Malice Have ended.
Not to mention how Meggy recognized his logo in WS
I have a theory:
In the live stream, the TV shows became more and more glitchy.
In the start of the movie, many glitches happen because Mario isn't there.
Maybe this was the reason? Probably not.
something as little as a "sorry" note from him in future episodes would make me happy

Honestly the movie didn't feel like a conclusion to the saga, that's the disappointing part. There's so many left unanswered and the whole thing didn't feel like a satisfying conclusion that I was honestly surprised to hear that this is the ending to the Puzzlevision Saga. This is also the only part from what I know where your theory was almost entirely wrong as almost everything you mentioned did not happen
I know. It's just like with Revelations, not only did the ending feel underwhelming and incomplete, but answers were still left unanswered. Compared to the movies and WOTFI from 2023, this movie felt anticlimatic as a finale.
@@nighton8223 At least Revelations tried to explain more of the backstory but in this movie, something as simple as how Mr. Puzzles TV head works isn't expanded upon. Like he should be dead if he actually cut of his head

It's a theory, you nitwit. Of course none of his theory hasn't happened(yet). Also, while the Puzzle vision arc is over, Mr. Puzzles himself has not been confirmed in any way to have been written off.
Also, the Puzzlevision arc just refers to the 4 episodes+the movie you just saw. The Puzzlevision saga started in mid- 2023 with "It's gotta be perfect", and isn't over as long as the showgrounds exist, Luigi remains a meat-mallet, Peach and her castle still exist, and SMG4 and Meggy resolve their trauma from the previous three movies.

I think it would be cool for a brand new mastermind to appear, one in a higher position of power in control of all previous villains, and possibly see all the old villains return possibly for a WOTFI this year.
Maybe it won’t make much sense story wise, but it would be cool to see the old villains against the new and improved cast who have been able to move on and grow from them.
We need to remember that SMG4 is one of those rare youtubers who ACTUALLY listens to feedback and criticism from fans. He was kind enough and heard about our complaints of the redesigns and made the decision to revamp it. So, SMG4 will probably do something with Mr. Puzzles in the future to give him the proper send-off.
Yep, that's what I thought, we'll probably see Mr Puzzles again since we actually want him back because he didn't feel THAT powerful in the movie, he got punched by Mario and needed to go hide, and Mario was builded up to be the main character but he was barely important (i know he helped the SMG4 crew get their control back from Mr Puzzles) and Mr Puzzles was honestly such a fun character and i expected more from the antagonist we've been teased for one year
If Mr. Puzzles never returns, then this will be the MOST anticlimactic end to a villain that I've seen in any story recently! So hopefully he does come back in the near future!! 😭👍
He'll return. Remember how SMG0 was defeated before coming back since there were unanswered question that were answered in Revelations
Im sure he will come back, there are too many unanswered questions (what was smg4’s perfect video about, the barricaded door, clench, etc.). And we need an antagonist for WOTFI 2024 anyways
I honestly get the feeling he might land at the pit where the weird keyboard was as it might corrupt him, or even worse he gains control of it and uses the bio mass that was in the pit to destroy the world cus if he cannot make any 5 star shows, nobody will as he will target the smg4 castle as the first victim

I have a theory; it turns out that Mr Puzzles ain't actually dead and via Clench, we never really got the answer as to why Clench turns off anytime Mr Puzzles is near. Could this be because he is under Mr Puzzles's control and Mr Puzzles turns him off when he doesn't need him? We saw something similiar to this happen before(the revelations arc).
you know, Honestly....Mr. Puzzles had a GREAT potential from the start, the fact that he was teased ever since It's gotta be perfect video/"movie" was such a clever idea, and in the puzzlevision saga he was really in the play there but at the end of the puzzlevision saga, it was like they rushed the movie itself and instead they decided to make him like a sereotypical "villain of the week", the fact that they made him threating in the first place then to give him a saga AND the final nail to the coffin was to make him be beated very easliy was just so unsatisfying, they could have made him the next Death from Puss in Boots: The Last Wish OR The Spot from The Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse BUT NO, they made him look weak..........

I still hope for his return. A villian, who captures the heroes snd brainwashes them into bieing his entertainament puppts, was clearly a great idea. Not to mention his villian songs. I still hold my fingers crossed.
If Zero returned, so can he. And let's remember how mario just sat in the dark room watcing TV. I feel Mr Puzzles's role is far from over.

The pieces aren't welding together right; there are a lot of plot holes and loose ends (which isn't exactly a new thing for recent smg4 content), but this is a whole other level.
Somethings that really catches my attention is the absences of Clench, the destruction of the old castle, Marty and One Shot Wren.
Yeah, I'm not a fan of the ending to this movie.
I wanted puzzle to mention seeing Meggy's reaction to her dead friends, for the emotion bit.
Or SMG4 loosing the caste that he's been in since the START Of his entire channel.

and also side theory: We know that Mr. Puzzles started out by watching television daily to forget about his troubles. Sound familiar? At the end of the Puzzlevision movie (any many other times), Mario chooses TV instead of goes to touch grass with his friends. Maybe Mario might become Mr Puzzles’s successor???
Edit: I forgot to mention something: I feel like this ending is similar to the 10th anniversary ending (where smg2 traps smg0 into the usb, but the arc/saga wasn’t done yet), which leaves room for Mr. Puzzles to make a return
I just want him to be redeemed and become a cast member kinda like Saiko and SMG3 did (and yes, Saiko was an antagonist at one point for any newer Smg4 fans who haven't seen Doki Doki Mario Club)

I think if Mr Puzzles returns he’ll be more of an anti hero, the easiest way that he could’ve made good shows was not using the smg4 cast but he did anyway, big mistake Mr Puzzles

Plus, when mario was at the castle want watching tv, Mr Puzzles came out of it, but there's no way Mr Puzzles just walked in, turned into tv form and waited there.I believe that Mr puzzles wont come back as a main antagonist but maybe something similar to smg3 where a possible redemption arc or him just being in the background. Mr. Puzzles was very important, btw so him having a quick ending like that was odd. He made smg4 get the magical keyboard, which caused him to go even more crazy, made meggy go through trauma, and realizing that wren wasn't a great guy after all and even owning the showgrounds that smg4 bought since it had his little logo beside it

There’s a fair chance he will come back because yes, even though Luke said that the Saga is over, he never said that the villain himself is dead/destroyed, nor did we see him die/get destroyed. He just lost and got defeated. Also, they can’t just ignore how the demonic keyboard and all the goop it spawned is still there along with how Peach is still a monster. Even though we did learn what Mr. Puzzles’ true goal was, we didn’t learn everything about his backstory. After all, no normal human being should be able to survive and become a magical entity by chopping off their head and replacing it with a tv. It’s as you said, that tv he had for a head had to have been given to him by someone as well as created. We don’t even know what his name originally was, because there’s no way any parent would name their kid “Mr. Puzzles” as well as how he stated that it wasn’t always his name. If he does come back, it will most likely be with the person who created his tv head that’ll become the true villain
Tbh, I feel like Mr Puzzles was lying about his backstory because of how smarmy he acted when reciting it.
Yeah, even in a world with eldritch world destroying viruses or cops with monitors for heads, people sawing off their heads and replacing them with a tv is where I draw the line.

Maybe like SMG3, he will be a GOOD person because what if the fact that he was being controlled by someone higher than him, (and can dispose of him like a toy) and that he could have broken free from these chains and would try to start a a new lifestyle because of what his old life made him become. Although he might only keep SOME of his powers, but not the ones that control people’s minds and bodies. Maybe even start with an apology letter of some sort. They might forgive him, although it might take them time.
I found it really weird that Mr Puzzles was just concluded on a “out of the park” note. Looking at Western Spaghetti, Wren had a full explanation on his motives and backstory, and died in the end, no more appearances from him. However, in Puzzlevision, Mr Puzzles’ backstory only lasts for seconds (which is in his banger villain song). So maybe his “conclusion” being rushed (if that’s the right term) was intentional. Also this has happened with Zero before, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Mr Puzzles has the same thing done with him as well.
What a disappointing ending for such a great villain.

@@TheRebornExpert Mr. Puzzles says he has watched every show there is, so imagine if he were a long time fan of SMG4 filled with nostalgia, and actually tries to bring it back to its roots.
He would want these 5 stars to take over reality and make SMG4 the way it used to be. No more redesigns, no more deaths, no more complicated lore filled with inconsistancies and characters with lots of writing mistakes.
But also it would be an egoistic goal because he's the one who started all this. He could be the one who gave Francis the Ink Zuccer that turned Meggy human and led to Desti's death.
After all he gave powerful technology to Wren with the simulation world, so who says that Puzzles isn't the one who provided Francis with this technology as well ? And I mean Desti was in the simulation so he must know about her.
He could be the one who hired Lawyer Kong, causing the characters to be redesigned. And we know everything that happened after that is already canonically his doing.
So basically, Mr. Puzzles would try to control reality and help the SMG4 crew go back to the simpler times, egoistically giving them solutions to the problems that, even if they don't know it, he created. All that so that his idols would like him.
Maybe they would accept at first, but they would then come to the realization that, even if the world is not perfect, they don't want to lose the experience they gained throughout the years.
It may be hard, but they need to move on from the past, that's part of growing up as people. That's when Mr. Puzzles would get mad and try to force them to go back to this ideal world.
That would have been cool but that's not what Mr. Puzzles is about sadly.

Ok so smg4 made a community post basically saying « do you want me puzzles to return ? » so there is a chance
I personally would like to see him return as a game show host like in the one episode as that was hilarious plus would be if it does pan out that someone ma manipulated him as well and so he allies with the cast and just becomes a cast member

What they did with Mr. Puzzles was GOOD... but not "we built this antagonist up for years"-good. Mr. Puzzles himself was great, but his end was just way too quick and undramatic. Like, one minute he became a REAL threat, and the next he was already done for. I really hope they DO have some deeper plans with him.
What irks me most... the TV was called PUZZLEVISION. We got an explanation for the VISION. But we never got an explanation for the PUZZLE. And I feel like that very "Puzzle"-symbolic could've been SUCH A BANGER had they gone into it deeper. Like, "THE VILLAIN WHO CAN SHATTER REALITY INTO THOUSAND PIECES OF A PUZZLE".
Like, there's obviously so much ambition behind that character that just didn't fully come through. He just really feels like he got done dirty. Even Wren, an Antagonist that existed for like one video and one movie got the crew more into shambles than Mr. Puzzles did.
Perhaps puzzle is hinting towards solving his identity. If you ask me, Mr Puzzles's backstory felt fake to me with how smarmy he acted
@@benbarnett5743 Interesting take, but I can't really imagine that. The smarmy, as I see it, is just his showman-side. He's an entertainer through and through, and talks (and sings) like one. I'd say that was just meant to be his identity all along. What I could rather see [or let's be honest, just my headcanon that I think would be sick]: Maybe Mr. Puzzles isn't the only... "host" of "Puzzlevision". Maybe "Puzzlevision" is moreso the name of an "interuniversal organization of entertainers". And Mr. Puzzles was just one of their members. Maybe there's someone above him, who was truly behind the specifics of Mr. Puzzles plans, who actually gave him his powers, and then sent him to finish the mission, only for Mr. Puzzles to turn against his employer in favor of his own dream. I don't think there's anything really supporting this theory of mine... I just really think it sounds like a banger way to extend the Puzzlevision saga. We could also have Mr. Puzzles return as some sort of "anti-hero", who joins our protagonists to defeat the Puzzlevision organization, but never really joins their side and keeps plotting his own big comeback behind the scenes.

My theory/opinion: He'll return for a redemption arc, or just be a side character like Depresso, Bowser, TF2 mercenaries etc
About how redemption might be: He'll either reappear in a sudden to help them defeat the next villain, or just reappear and try to reason with them
While ones like Meggy, Mario or SMG3 hate to have him around, nicer ones like Tari or Boopkins could chit-chat with him about his actions
Also my theory on how he could return: Clench
NO Null theorized that Clench could be a part of Mr. Puzzles to spy on crew, but I think of something else
TV Adware

I feel like TV Adware is a creation of Mr. Puzzles and has infected Tari's mechanical arm and put the fake name of "Clench" to itself to spy on crew and give reports to Mr. Puzzles
The fact that Clench appeared when there was lesser than 5 videos until Puzzlevision started, could confirm the theory
Once Clench/TV Adware find out about his masters beatdown, he'll revive him if he actually died or will fix him if he is still alive, with Tari of course
TV Adware and Mr. Puzzles are the same though.
@@Minion_9876They don't even look the same- TV Adware is just a television and just a adware, like an virus. However for Mr. Puzzles, its a humanoid entity and not a virus and uses TV Adware as for to find other vulnerable characters in the gang, TV Adware can actually return, not Mr. Puzzles.

I do wonder... By following your theory of Mr. Puzzles possibly returning, I make a point that somebody in the SMG4 universe should've modified the Puzzlevision website in the lore. So yes, he may have a return in the near future!
Quick Edit: I do expect someone or something to be in a superior position than Mr. Puzzles, since some of the TV's that have been appearing in the 2023 movies are different from the Puzzlevision one. For example, the TV in the driver's room in the train in the HELP.BSP map to build hype for Western Spaghetti is different, as well as the cartoony TV that appears on SMG4's screen in IGBP.
Also, I do think there was room in the Movie for exploration into the unanswered questions like: "What's behind the Boarded Door in the Castle?" or "Where's Clench?" and maybe "What was in SMG4's perfect Video?". I am quite disappointed with the final result.

I theorize clench is Mr puzzles backup plan since all scenes Clench wasn't there that must mean clench is Mr puzzles or related to him some way
I personally think that Mr. Puzzles might be dead, if not from losing his powers then by the possible impact his TV head had after being sent flying off which might cause it to break apart into a bunch of pieces.
The only way I see Mr. Puzzles coming back is if a future SMG4 episode has the cast going to hell and finding Mr. Puzzles there in hell.
We saw he wasn't destroyed, all that happened is he got switched off, normally when villains die, we see it, all we saw was his screen getting smashed, and we know that doesn't kill him, and then went flying. Yea I don't think he's dead.

I doubt he's going to be important anymore after this, but I don't think he's actually dead. Although SMG4's final strike against him could be a way to tell fans that he's gone for good.
I don't think Mr puzzles is dead and here's why. When we see Mr puzzles he's has his hat on the antenna of the TV. I also think he can make clones of his TV head whenever he wants to to display a message or a show to the viewers. The TV that SMG4 destroyed wasn't Mr puzzles because he wasn't seen with his hat on, it was just a TV with the puzzle vision logo. I suggest he went to another TV or he trying to recuperate somewhere else because he can only comeback if there are other TV'S that are the same model as his and there are many of the same TV models he has so I don't think he's actually dead.

There also the fact of the Demonic thing that came from the keyboard still existing at the ruins of peaches castle, just there without much purpose besides the IGBP, it would be interesting that when Smg4 launched Mr.Puzzles Head away, it sent him into the Demonic hole there. Is it just me because when mr puzzles wanted to make a good tv show mr puzzles probably wasn’t targeting the smg4 crew and but he accidentally gave the ad to smg4 in the gotta be perfect movie Soo he tried a bunch of things to get rid of the things he did on accident but ended up making it worse when meggy notices that she seen the symbol Soo while he did that mr puzzles was also working on highjacking the printer that causes the Wotfi 2023 (he was probably printing something but the printer malfunction but he did the wrong printer and he was probably doing a recipe for cooking idk ) he tried everything but nothing worked so he targeted the smg4 crew but got lucky and made the puzzle visón series but failed to get 5 stars encouraging the viewers to put 5 stars and failed to do whatever bad stuff to the smg4 crew (extra in the smg4 episode NEW HOME? When boopkins pulls up the show growns the puzzle vision logo is right next to the label mr puzzle must’ve gotten lucky when smg4 choose it (extra 2 in the smg4 video the news or something related to it boopkins get the weather man role the weather screen brakes probably by puzzle vision signifying that boopkins reveals the show grounds from extra 2

Actually, I don't think Puzzles would come back as a perma-antagonist. I think he can be redeemed, and allow me to explain:
One thing stuck out to me when I watched both the Puzzlevision series and movie: He was slowly starting to appear more often. In the first episode, he only appears for a few seconds, but then as Mario and SMG4 walk off screen, one could say he looks like he's plotting. To me, it looks like he's hurt in a way. Then in the second and third episode, he appeared twice as often, with the third making him appear as if he was part of the gang. The fourth made it more clear he wanted to be there often, as he made himself the most important character.
Then there's what he mentions in his song: "It was a struggle to find anybody who could be my buddy." You could brush this off easily, especially since it goes by so quickly, but then you hear what he says when he gets five stars: “I'm soooo excited to finally make the best show ever, one where EVERYONE can join in!” The reason why he wants everyone to be a part of it becomes even more clear when you remember that one line in Creative Control; he wants EVERYONE to be his FRIEND. He's been unable to make friends as a child, and taking notice of how he acts so happy once everybody is in his control shows that he just wanted friends more than anything. Of course, obviously it's in a manner that isn't appropriate since he's lost his mind, but it's clear that's what he really wants.
So, to summarize how he could come back: Yes, he actually could come back as an antagonist, but it would likely wind up becoming a situation where if it's someone who helps him out (I suspect might be someone like Melony), he winds up getting softer and abandons his original goal. Of course, the original SMG4 crew that were under his control won't just upright welcome him and may beat the living out of him, but they could slowly start to come to terms and make him part of the group. The whole reason why that ending was anticlimactic? It was to purposefully hint it wasn't over yet. Sure, the Puzzlevision saga may be over, but Puzzles isn't going to back down just yet. He may be a broken mess the next time we see him, but he'll likely be redeemable in an instance.
I’m sure there will be another Arc later on this year in which he might return. He could possibly be this year’s WOTFI villain.

If Mr. Puzzles returns, he will most likely come back as the Right-Hand Man/Number 2 for the main villain of whichever Arc brings him back.
Who knows he could be involved in the wotfi of 2024 just like the wotfi 2023 he manipulated marty to get smg3 notebook which had a “5 star pizza recipe” which cause wotfi
I still think there should’ve been a big reveal that Mr. Puzzles was really SMG4 from the future. My thinking is Mr. Puzzles (this version of him anyway) could be like Rex Dangervest or Zurg from Lightyear where he’s a former hero turned evil time traveller and his influence in his own past ends up being his downfall.
Think about it, we could see a version of SMG4 who never got that demonic keyboard and that could be what caused him to not have any friends anymore leading him to turn to TV to try and get better inspiration for the perfect video. This would lead him to saw off his head and instead of replacing it with a TV it could be a case where his head is kept safe and sound.
What if the crew never left the simulation? Here's evidence that supports it
1. Mr Puzzles was built up as being quite powerful. He was able to tank an entire assault from the crew even though he was getting his ass kicked earlier by Mario. So to withstand all their attacks makes no sense. We also only saw a good chunk of his powers when they were trapped in his simulation. Mr Puzzles was also able to shoot from his fingers and grow large.

3. This whole situation isn't new as One Shot Wren did something similar, but Wren did it on a smaller scale. Mr Puzzles could do something like this on a much greater scale.

You have a good point. Cause no way Mr. Puzzles would be able to turn himself into some sort of supernatural TV cyborg by himself. Cause he would’ve been dead already and no one would be able to turn themselves into something like him alone. There’s always a bigger monster. Just like the God Box being the overarching antagonist and master over Niles. Hope we’ll see that one day.
Also, I’m disappointed that Clench never did anything throughout the movie nor did we learn more about him at all. Don’t know when he’ll come back again after the end of the movie. Hope we’ll learn more about him too cause it remains a mystery as to why he’s there alive.

Friendly reminder that Zero/Niles' story-line was told in TWO separate arcs (Genesis & Revelations), and the former ended with their apparent defeat only to come back later on. Even if THIS saga is over, there is still the chance for another one to follow it up and tie up any loose ends left.
Speaking of which, i might bring to attention the unexplained channel 999; a desolate, post-apocalyptic wasteland that is never addressed after it's short appearance. What it was all about, if all the other channel show either different kinds of shows or cameos from pre existing properties, just like Mr. Puzzles' own shows. Why it is so different? Could it be a new future location for the gang to explore later on?
WOTFI 2024 is my guess when he comes back. I do expect easter eggs here and there from now until then, and then they slowly build back to him around a month before WOTFI.
Mr puzzle’s was a cool character I really hope he returns
I feel like the movie was little disappointing ngl. Animation wise it was AMAZING, but some plot related things just stick out like a sore thumb. Mr. Puzzle's defeat felt a little off like No Null said in this video, and Tari and especially Clench don't do anything at all in the film even though it appeared that they both were being set up to play some sort of bigger role in the movie. It wouldn't surprise me that the Tari drama effected the release of the film, probably pushing it forward in order please the fans. There's still many questions left open after this such as Clench and Tari's origins in the universe of the show, what is in the boarded room and the second floor of the new castle, will they ever bring up Eldritch Peach again or will they leave her in the ruined castle to rot, and how Meggy recognized the Puzzle Vision logo. This is the biggest and highest quality film the SMG4 team has ever put out, and I look forward to them experimenting with the videos like how Luke said he wanted to during the merch drop at the end of the film.
EDIT: To answer one of those questions that I asked myself, I think that the tube that One Shot Wren used to power the simulation from Western Spaghetti and the tubes from the Anime arc were both made by Mr. Puzzles as a way to fund his entertainment business, with Francis simply buying them off of Mr. Puzzles in the Anime Arc. That's how Meggy recognized the Puzzle Vision Logo, as she saw it when she was stuck in the tube during the anime arc. This is a head canon with the only evidence allowing this head canon to be is just how similar the tubes from the Anime arc and Western Spaghetti were, the fact that only Inklings were seen in the tubes, and the fact that Wren appeared to be rotting away at the end of Western Spaghetti. That last one could just be due to One Shot Wren over exerting himself.
