- Sorry for the late video! I’ve been so busy this week with a responsibility that I signed up for in 2020 and forgot about until the due date crept up on me this week!!
My favorite part of this trip was hanging with the locals. Florida is fun… Haha.
Jules needed some play time and really enjoyed hanging out at this campsite. You could say he was a happy camper.

as a life long Floridian and avid outdoorsman I would recommend being very careful to keep an eye out for pygmy rattlers and coral snakes, as well as gators and bobcats while you are exploring the wetlands. Wear some boots and long pants if possible. Check your phone signal as you go to make sure you can call for help in case of an emergency. Carry a firearm if you have one. Bring extra water. Stay safe.

Boondocking around Florida wildlife reminds me of the same eerie feeling you get nightfishing and the sharks come out just out of site. You can hear them thrashing but can't see them half the time. Get your firewood in the daytime girl, you never know what animals (and reptiles) are close by. As far as hanging out at boat launches its common especially in smaller communties with not much to do. As long as someone isn't 20 beers in and trigger happy then i'm not too worried. Jules just being Jules is so cute btw. A cool thing to see in certain places is the bioluminescence in the water. It's beautiful!
Sharks at night is the perfect way it describe inland Florida boondocking 😂

i have same problem when i hike/walk always looking down. i do same thing and tell
myself to look up but obviously my eyes always end up returning to the path unconsciously. haven’t found the cure yet. someday. stumbled upon your videos yesterday. really entertaining and amusing.

Was that the Ocklawaha River? If you're anywhere near Ocala, you should check out Silver Springs State Park- it's gorgeous, and there's a large group of wild monkeys that live in there you have a good chance of seeing! (And if you want to see a lot of wild gators and are still in Florida, check out Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive and hiking trails)

There are wild boar in Florida that are very active at night and will make a lot of noise and kinda freak you out. The first time I heard them, at night as a kid, at boy scout camp in Florida I thought this is where I die and never see my parents again!😂

Love hearing coyotes. Hear them here sometimes while setting around the firepit, they're starting to get a lot more active now.
While you were walking through that marshy area, I kept thinking . . . "She says she wanted to see a gator. In that kind of terrain, she might get up close and personal with a gator." My wife's uncle says the rule of thumb in Florida is that if you see any body of water bigger than a kiddie pool, just assume there's a gator in it. 'Cause there might be.
Yeah I was probably way too close to that water now that I went through the Everglades and saw all those gators… 😂

No! I’ve always lived in the city :) I may have heard them in the wilderness at some point, but I can’t recall at all!
