At least back in the day in OTB tourney chess, cheaters were more subtle. The primary cheating was rating cheating. So a player would drop their rating by losing to get into a lower class, and then play in a big tournament and try to cash in on a prize playing inferior players. But over time, USCF (US Chess Federation, governing US chess tournaments, generally) wised up to that and stopped letting ratings drop more than 100 points (at least in a moderate term time frame). I was accused of rating cheating once by a couple other players in my class (D), ironically when my rating was higher than it had ever been, because I was demolishing or drawing players rated 400 to 600 points higher than me in a small tourney. BUT, I pointed some things out. 1). I was as surprised as anyone. 2). I hadn't played a serious game in 6 years, and apparently had matured a lot through college and a couple years of real work. (And I'd vowed to STOP making casual, stupid, overconfident, lazy sorts of blunders). 3). I was playing for maybe a $30 class prize (this wasI 39 years ago, so I can't remember exactly) from a $12 entry fee. About a $14 hour day, to try to "cheat" my way to an $18 profit. I pointed out I made $20+ an hour, and stop insulting my intelligence. I ALSO pointed out if I REALLY wanted to cheat, I'd go to Philly for the World Open in July, and play for a class prize of $10,000 and a roughly $50 entry fee (and if I'd had ANY idea I'd improved that much, I might have wanted to try that, being a once in a life time chance to cash in on improving a lot). Now, OTB, they're watching for cell phones, etc (per a friend of mine who played in some serious tourneys). And on the net it's just ABSURD what goes on. It's sad.

The engines are so merciless. Back in the 70's and early 80's, I liked to sac pawns and pieces, drag the kind to my side of the board, and then checkmate it while it would go back to developing its pieces, like it's king was in a normal spot. LOL Then in the late 80's and early 90's, I liked to build up a big attack on the castled king, and feed the computer some material in order to get at the king and force some kind of mate with some rooks, etc. Like the time a spectator said to me (in a human vs. computer tournament, when the computers were little stand alone specialty devices), "You just dropped your queen." "No, I don't NEED a queen!", I responded, and mated the machine by force 5 or so moves later (it was easy to see, but beyond the program's horizon). Then ALL the programs got so good that they'd just smash me consistently. Oh well.

It's fun to smash cringe nerds that waste their lives on a board game lol
@@mrosskne by cheating you aren't smashing anyone, loser. Not just that, you are also "wasting your life on a board game" as well. No, its in fact worse: at least the legit players are using that time to get better at something, cheaters are really wasting their time with absolutely nothing to show for it.
@@someonesomewheresometime3897 found the nerd lmao

*Didn't trade Queens*
The engines are so merciless. Back in the 70's and early 80's, I liked to sac pawns and pieces, drag the kind to my side of the board, and then checkmate it while it would go back to developing its pieces, like it's king was in a normal spot. LOL
Then in the late 80's and early 90's, I liked to build up a big attack on the castled king, and feed the computer some material in order to get at the king and force some kind of mate with some rooks, etc.
Oh well.
Don't worry, you can still beat Martin.
Shoutout to dude telling Levy to run his king out through checks. Average chess player IQ - 20.
Yay I love to catch cheaters
Especially while playing with the instruments
cheating is one thing, but not knowing en passant is what's truly sickening
I am sorely disappointed when I saw you weren’t wearing the orange tanktop in the thumbnail. I never realised you liked clickbaiting people. I believe that you can be better than this Levy.
Instead of using Stockfish I actually use the stronger engine Cryptobird.
Golf clap.
I like how youtube is a little bit shy to send the notification immideatly, and sends it 10 minuites later
"every move is between 6 and 8 seconds" as he makes moves even faster ...... The cheater is using an engine, but Levy IS THE ENGINE
The cheater should get one brick for cheating and one for declining en passant
Misleading title? - they didn't have enough self awareness to be embarassed.
Ah, good ol' en passant. The move that, more than half the times I've played against a player that didn't know it, they *refused* to believe that it was a real thing, even after I showed them the rule in the rulebook that explains it.
love all your content levy just wish your audio was a tiny bit louder thank you for everything you do for the chess community.
I've had so many Rating Refund messages over 3 years it's not even funny. Like at least a hundred of my opponents were caught using one engine or another.
You talked to YOUR Siri, my Siri activated! 🤣
Stockfish Carlsen 💀
The cheater was like
En Passan't
LOOOOOL
"i gotta focus i gotta not lose my mind"
*Panics 5seconds later*
when he ask Serie the math question, my serve replied too
