    Still have my 1991 2.3l ranger 195000 miles, runs like it's brand new. Probably replaced every part on the truck since I got it at 150000 miles. Never had to replace head gasket. Also original clutch. I have done the timing belt and water pump. Overall most reliable easiest truck ever worked on in my life. And I've owned 22re 87 Toyota and I like my ranger.

      Hey man, i’m 19, thinking of selling my BMW F30 for something easier to work on and more reliable like this truck. Would it be worth it and a smart trade? The one i’m looking at looks to be in good condition and is selling for 12.

      @@lemau8458 I should go more into depth. Tires destroyed, vacuum limes disconnected, all 8 spark plugs and wires barely hanging on, needed coil packs, crank position sensor, EGR valve, it was NASTY inside. Ended up pulling the seats and rubber liner and pressure washing the inside. All that and then the cam synchroniser pin that connects it to drive the oil pump broke and the tweaker before me rtved jt and didn't tell me about it so that broke and I got rod knock, had to replace the rod and crank bearings, clutch, starter, flywheel, throw out bearing, clutch slave cylinder, and the positive and negative terminal cables for the battery. I'm sure there is more but all together im like 2500 in

      @MidnightRoush I've worked on a 2.3 before and even ford's old 1.9 and their easy to repair or maintain everything's pretty cheap as far as parts go and rebuilding the rear end on these trucks takes less than a Saturday to do from diff seal to braking components very easy to run thru. I'll be watching more of your ranger content as there's not a lot on these first gens

    i’ve never seen one the same color as my truck before YY color code, only difference is all my trim is black instead of chrome, tailgate has big letters instead of tiny ford badge, and it has the 2.9 in it, love that damn color man

    • @midnightroush97
      @midnightroush97  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I love this color as well!! I owned two of the "creampuff" rangers is what I called them lol. This 89 and also a 90. Identical twins! Shortbed, single cab with 2.3 and 5 speed. My 90 was way more beat up though. Had chrome trim but it didnt have metal tailgate trim, Just FORD lettering. I really liked the look of the FORD tailgate, reminded me of older model pickup. I sadly no longer own any rangers anymore. I really want one of these again in the future, with same paint code. Would love for it to be 4x4 too. But thats one day HOPEFULLY lol.
