A few months back Cait (ThatFezGalX) was kind enough to help me fit my splitter, side skirts & spoiler lip as I've never fitted them before, thanks Cait.

I'd recommend a maxton diffuser aswell
they save alot weight too
I got the first version of the maxton diffusor and it only weighs half than the original one
and my personal preference is
that a diffuser should be black

Do you know if the v2 spoiler will fit 2018 firsts st line on maxton designs it only mentions ST for the v2 spoiler
Yeah, the ST spoiler was the same as my ST line spoiler and that was an 18 plate x

Nicen how low kit looks in your car, one question you have OEM suspension otherwise is also lower Spring or suspension?

With all the modifications you do, do you need to inform your insurance company? Also would you know if can put run flat tyres on an ST?
Yeah I’d advise to otherwise the insurance can void your policy & dont know, can’t say I’ve thought about doing it🤣
I really want some side skirts and splitters but drilling holes gives me the ick
Looking better and better each time one thing I would do for extra security is use bolts on that front splitter as with high winds and on motorway it may come off as it happened to me as them self tappers just pulled out with the force just something to think about keep up the good work 😉x
The space between the splitter and getting on/off my drive is very little so I’ve stuck to self tappers as I don’t want my bumper to come off along with the splitter, it wouldn’t be a pretty look🥴 but thank you! X

Hi Rach I've recently bought a Maxton spoiler for another car how is the 3m tape holding up? I was thinking of using tiger seal aswell as the tape 🤔
Mines still on the car! No problems what so ever and this was installed around June/July time x
@@RachaelBuckley Ah nice one, I looked at the tape and was a little sceptical and I didn't wanna see £120 fly off in my rear view mirror 🤣. Stunning car BTW not seen one of these in the wild yet.

Like the look of these add ons, but would the adhesives stand up to very hot / cold weather and frequent washing? It's the only thing that's putting me off.
Mines been on for over a year and I’ve had no problem. The 3m tape on the spoiler lip is still as stuck as it was on day one, everything else you don’t need to worry about due to the self tappers

next time you use VHB tape, leave the backing on and stick it down, then peel it off. That way your not getting greasy fingers on the tape lol. That did make me giggle a bit
Is your car on finance? If so what happens when you hand it back with the holes in the bottom? Will you just not say/allowed to do so as I have just brought a ST3 but not sure if I should drill in the car! Your car looks mint tho, I really want to get the same thing done just not sure if I’ll have to pay if I decide to hand it back!
When it comes to the end of my agreement I’m sure I won’t have a problem selling this on unless I keep it🤔
As they are on bottom of the bumper and only be seen if under car you should be ok doing it but some will be knobs about it all counts where you got it from really

I'm not sure what ya call them but i think it needs some black carbon fiber either side of the orange defuser in the middle at the back x

Try to drive 70mhp and stick you hand outside in the angle of that spoiler.. Feel the force that sticky tape needs to handle.. It super strong.. It probably would helped me to keep my last relationship.. :(
Looking good... although I’d be wary of using self tap in screws though, seen them come off before. Bolted mine on just to be on safe side.
This is very accurate. Please do not fit our front splitters with self tapping screws. The reason for this is because they do not provide enough security when travelling at speed. Our fitting kit must be used to ensure your splitter is properly secured to the car.

Yeah every mod you have to declare to the insurance, not worth running the risk of not declaring everything x

I’m with brentacre so aesthetic mods are free to add to your policy, some insurance companies charge for mods x

I'm a disabled driver iv'e had a few cars over the last 29 years but they have all been motability cars and you dont get any no claims bonus with motability cars so if i got a car that was actually mine id no doubt be classed a a new driver even though i'm not which sux and when ya do try to get a quote on a car which i did a while ago for a laugh see what they say it started off as £1'400 then i said oh by the way i'm disabled she said hold on a sec just need to talk to my boss she came back n said actually that £2.400 how does that work its bang out of order anyway i told her where to shove the quote.
That’s disgusting how a disability affects the price of your insurance, it shouldn’t determine the extra grand what so ever. Where’s the logic

Next please fit a Delta S-R Spoiler Riser. That thing looks epic. Not like these cheap looking spoiler lip plastic.
Those things remains me to people who pot them on their Dacia Sandero and think it will make their car look cool. It is not.
No not at all ahah, these holes were filled with self tappers😂 but I’m not really a fan of the spoiler riser, I’m hoping they make a complete spoiler like the MK7 x

Yes there are spoiler risers that look bodged, but i have recently found Delta S-R one, which nicely fills the created gap between the body and the spoiler.
The screws go into plastic so no issues with water getting in or rust.lol
