@@bigostrich5221 Marx soul is just stronger Marx, therefore every soul attack except for some exceptions (stuff like ball bounce) originate from Marx. From cutter to beams to tackling you.
It's more of like every soul boss iterates from the previous, Marx adds a black hole, Magolor adds portals and lasers, Sectonia adds emotional pain (and the background-to-foreground sky attack), Star Dream adds shock wave effects and multi-phase battles (Countdown is 5/6 phases and OS is a separate phase entirely), Void Termina adds a 3D arena, and Astral Birth ~ Void introduces the Fake Clones.
The design of Chaos Elfilis is easily my most favorite of all bosses. In a universe were everything is very much inhuman, and those that are more humanoid are very bulky, Elfilis and chaos Elfilis feel the most... Human of any design, it feels alien in forgotten lands. Very unwelcome, harboring intense hatred towards those that held it captive. It's tortured by the fact that it was just another exhibit to the locals, tormented every day, physically conscious, hearing every day "And here we are!" as more of those... Things come to gawk at it. Its last remaining pieces of its soul giving its own anger and torment form, rid of anything superfluous, like its colorings, its patterns, and it's memory of the surrounding world, running its last leg of psychic power just to give this vile pink puff ball that ruined ages of planning in a mere few days absolute suffering and hell. Until it finally runs dry, and Elfilis is no more. All chaos, anger and hatred, lost to the universe, it's only remnant being its final shred of soul, for Elfilin to take, and manifest as its own. The malicious invader now given new life by its softer side.

Chaos Elfilis feels like a creature desperately using all its powers and tricks to try and overpower Kirby while Kirby just sits there blocking absolutely everything and waiting for the moment Elfilis gets tired or distracted to slash it with its sword. That's not a fight, that's straight up bullying
i feel like before star allies, nintendo heard everyone complaining that kirby is "too easy" and then they said "bet" and made soul melter mode

@@chickyproductions4347 It's hard, but the only TRUE difficulty of it is tackling it without things you have in other games-so no powered up abilities (only lv 1 ones), no bring-in items.
It's not over until something turns into an unspeakable horror with an eyeball motif.

I almost never make it there because the same thing always happens in the second phase of sectonia DX. And the only time I did make it to that boss, the same thing happened.
I like how the much more recent souls are references to older games, as star dreams soul represents nova, and void soul as dark matter. It's pretty intresting.

I have that same problem with my favorite series when I want to listen to extended music and then final boss spoiler thumbnail (legend of heroes series, Timodus channel). WHO THE FUCK PUTS A FINAL BOSS SPOILER IN A MUSIC VIDEO?!
God that 4 phase fight with star dream was one of the hardest bosses that I ever faced
Technically Star Dream Soul OS has 5 phases.
The heart has two phases.
Morpho Knight Sword with powerups makes all these boss battles a breeze, but using Normal Kirby against Soul Elfilis is funnier because you can legit swallow the paint blobs and subtract a huge amount of the paint lasers, and deal huge amount of damage. It's kinda funny and epic too.

Marx and magolor are the creepiest
Sectonia is the hardest. Not discrediting the other fights though, there's just so few opportunities to hit her.
Star dream is my favourite fight in the series
Void is the best in terms of lore
And (forgotten land spoilers) is the most fun, especially with the hammer glitch
I disagree with everything you said, also star dream is kinda uhhhh ehhh... it's my least liked boss in the series I mean the whole fight is the halbard with no kirby segments except for the true arena and that segment is kind of uhhhhhhhh good so nahhhhhh........

1. You can use a special attack (Planet buster I think it’s called)
2. You’re fighting a malfunctioning clockwork star which is significant to the story AND lore.
3. It does use Robobot’s gimmick because in robobot robots adapt to look like Kirby and that’s also what the Halberd does because if you don’t remember, the Halberd originally looks like Meta Knight.
4. The extra phase in True Arena has Haltmann’s scream when you destroy it’s parts which adds that classic Kirby creepiness and adds to the lore and it’s also a reference to Super Star Ultra.
5. It’s a really fun, intense fight.
Those are just the personal reasons I like it, and think it’s the best final boss in Kirby and one of the best ever but I see where your disagreements come in.
Void Termina imo is the peak of Secret Final Bosses in Kirby, Chaos Elfilis is good and all but I think Void Termina was better

i appreciate how in forgotten land you can use stronger abilities and use power ups. because i just can’t get though some of these bosses without helps
It's basically the whole myamoto logic in game design, don't make difficulty a toggleable thing at the start, make it something the player chooses during gameplay, you could use the morpho knight sword to wipe the floor with the ultimate cup Z, or you could use a weaker version of the sword or any other ability and get a more challenging experience. It's genius.
it seems to be a good way of making things either somewhat easier or absolutely brutal in a way of your choosing rather than it being forced.

You know, I never really realized just how similar Star Dream Soul OS is as it still retains a lot of similarity to the soul attacks. It has a variation to the paintball attack, the cutter attack, even a variation that one attack Marx Soul uses.
Also I guess sword takes title as most broken ability in the new game. It’s second evolution has a block that you can move AROUND in and not take damage and DEAL a small amount back, it’s third evolution apparently STUN LOCKS enemies, and it’s final has a TELEPORT as a DODGE.

@@LegoCowManZ I thought that was just fully maxed out Crash with the damage buffs, but toy hammer is the best weapon for pure dps thanks to hammer flip being super fast

Once you start hearing the screams of the dammed in the final phase of star dream, you can't unhear them
Especially at the end of the fight where the heart breaks
Those are the screams of Haltmann, if you can tell. After he was absorbed to Star Dream’s being, he has been in there ever since. Once you destroy the heart, you also destroy whatever is left of Haltmann’s soul.
Just the scale of star dream is so well done. Every time it came closer i winced, it is just so ginormous and the lore implications make it all the more intimidating. Such a cool boss!
The raw power the 4 master crown laser portrays is amazing.

Very cute pink ball kills many gods and deflects attacks by WAIT WHAT so apparently he avoided damage by spinning on a hammer turning to stone and literally using a shield against flippin doom lasers and celestial wrath
I guess a Kirby Dark Souls kind of game was inevitable after Star Dream Soul and especially the whole Void Termina sequence.

@@dragonboy7340 when star dream phase 3 counts all the way down to 0 it says "GO!!" Then it says "FATAL ERROR" and takes out over half your hp guaranteed, and the reason this attack happens has to do with the game lore

yea it takes 11/12 of your health in just one hit. your options are dodge, be at full health and only get hit once, or die. because of those three final hits, it is widely considered the most powerful boss in the entire series, and the most powerful boss in a Nintendo game, ever. they weren't playing around in that game! 😅

@@Willydiaz3791 I used the morpho knight sword, which I spat our by accident, then I paid a little money in game to retry the final battle again, I ended up using ice as one of my only options, but guarding with ice helped me withstand most of their attacks.

Blocking makes kirby invincible for almost anything (except when he's sucked or that attack with chaos elfilis covered in fire). Just for that is OP

In the star dream soul OS boss battle (phase 4), you can hear haltmann's screams of pain when you destroy the pillars and at the very end (his scream is pitched and slowed down).
What I thought about is, considering that it's highly theorized but canon in itself, susie is the daughter of a man who will never remember her nor exist anymore due to his dedication to star dream.
The lore of kirby is not just terrifying, it's straight up cruel.

With how the soul bosses share attacks, like the split into blue and pink attack, the release 4 cutter blades attack, and the turn into a massive fire ball attack, something must connect them all together, and what exactly makes them turn into those demonic like forms? I suspect that some sort of entity or power is at play, and the soul bosses are just its puppets.

I don't know if you noted, but the Void Termina battle is like a spoiler of that the next kirby game would be in actual 3D (the battle already is)
How sick would it be it all of Kirby’s final bosses fought it be god v god v god v god v god and so on
I know some people think that the extra games aren't canon, but the way I see it, any and all content that's new is canon. Without this thought, Void being the origin of Kirby is falsified by the very thing they claim is false.
In simple terms:
Saying that EX content is not canon completely disregards the extra lore given in the Void fight, which takes away confirmation that Kirby comes from Void, therefore, all EX content and bosses should be considered canon.
The events if that stuff isn't canon because there's no way for them to be but what they bring to the lore is canon. There's no way the Meta Knightmare stuff can be canon but stuff from them like Galacta Knight's existance is. Then in Forgotten Land everything is canon because it's a direct continuation of the main game's story including the ultimate cup z because that's where Elfilin becomes whole again.
I mean, it is true, the battles never happened, but it gives new knowledge about certain aspects, like Galacta and Morpho Knight's existance, or that Marx survived Nova's explosion
Forgotten Land is an exception because the overworld is a recurrent thing in the story, aside the Reporter Waddle Dee figurine states that a portal appeared within the colliseum once the extra mode is completed due to Morpho Knight and Fecto Forgo's morphosis

I think extra modes aren't canon but some aspects of the lore shown in them are canon, like Galacta Knight exists, Sectonia used the Dimensional Mirror, Star Dream's clones exist and Void's other forms exist

Out of all the Secret Final Boss fights, the fight against Chaos Elfilis is the only canon fight.

Soul bosses need to be a thing in mario they so much potential to be fun and interesting and I can see it happening for mario games
As 3ds gamer i can easily say that there is no such thing as a soul boss and i beat the true stardream while you did the easier fight with a little harder nonexistent one as well that replaces the screwing part
the secret bosses’ first name refer to Soul Bosses, except that Elfilis has a different name, referring to Chaos Elfilis, which, Soul Elfilis, wouldn’t make sense with the name but COULD be a good name, but in Forgotten Land, Soul, was changed to Phanthom, to make more sense out of that (idk for sure)
Chaos form is most likely a form beyond Soul form because Chaos Elfilis is the result of Soul Forgo having absorbed some of Morpho Knight's power

It's quite sad how the bosses are unleashing godly powers over Kirby, only for him to just act like nothing happened and move on to killing another semi-godly entity to add to the list
