What is the time length that you measured the weight retention by? Like is it capable of holding 11 lbs for 5 hours or a few days? This is seriously dope and an excellent material that could be flexible for uses and different kinds of outfits. Like going from fashion accessory to everyday grocery bag

Actually science shows that bags like this are somewhat better for the environment because you can use them for a whole lot longer. When it comes to plastic bags the best practice is to just reuse the bags you have instead of tossing them after a single use. More durable plastic being used in the bags ensures they can be used more times and thus not as many need to be produced.
