    Good and informative review thank you.
    The really useful thing you taught me was about the single short press of the power button to fire it up instantly. Without that it was the weak link with the HIK, as it took too long to start. Thanks a lot for that, I wouldn't have found it myself.
    You talked about playing with the palettes to compensate for ambient temperatures, in this case I think it was very cold. While reading through the manual after watching your video it said that in the menu there is a feature offering the choice between two settings: one for winter conditions, one for summer. I haven't yet tried it - only just read it a moment ago.
    Cheers and best wishes.

    Having used the unit myself while out with Robin . I wasn’t expecting it to be that good compared to other Thermal units . But hand on my heart I have to say I was very impressed with it the image quality, size , functionality was all impressive.
    For anyone starting out in thermal this would definitely be the way to go .

    Nice unit, would like to see you review the new lynx 2.0 25mm see if that would be good for longer range foxing etc? If so might be one of the best cheaper options, I say cheaper because I still don't think £ 1100 is budget..... Thanks.

    I’ve been using my LH19 Pro for just shy of a year . It developed a horizontal line across the screen after three months so it was returned and replaced with a new unit . I’m generally very pleased with it and it gets plenty of use . Battery life is excellent. I rarely use anything more than 2x zoom as greater than that becomes too pixelated . I’ve attached my own neck strap from an old SLR camera , why don’t they just supply one !
    It’s a great piece of kit and would definitely recommend it. 👍

      I'm trying to decide between LH15 & LH19. Do you think the focus ring on LH19 is worth the extra? I assume it will give a better image quality, but requires more effort to get it. I've used a Pulsar Axion XM30 before with manual focus. Yep, neck strap essential.

    • @richk1898
      @richk1898 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kiwicam6419 For me it’s the size of the lens that’s important . I don’t know what you’ll be using it for but if it’s close quarters stuff like rats around the farm then the LH15 will be fine . If you’re wanting to identify your quarry accurately in the open field (eg rabbit or hare at say 200 yds) then the bigger the better . I’m using mine for 🦊 allot more now and I’m happy to accurately ID them at 300 yds + .
      I’ve not used the LH15 so can’t compare them but I certainly do use the focus ring that provides clarity when moving between distances plus the optical lens adjuster on the Pro that I don’t think the LH15 has. If you can afford it, go with the LH19 . You won’t be disappointed! 😉

    • @kiwicam6419
      @kiwicam6419 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@richk1898 I'll be using it for rabbits - ID/shooting < 100m, and possums 5-30m away and usually up a tree. Seeing objects 200m away is useful, but I don't need full ID until ready to shoot which will be closer and I'm sure both units will do that. Not sure what you mean regarding the optical lens adjuster if separate from the manual focus ring. The wide angle is useful for possums (in New Zealand) when close to trees, but I don't want it to be so wide that I sacrifice clarity on the

      @@kiwicam6419 I was referring to the ability to adjust the ocular lens but I see that the LH15 also has that . I’m sure given your needs that the 15mm will do the job. Happy possum hunting !
