£1.30 a year is nothing. What i have a real issue with is £170 a year for the BBC & a large amount of my taxes going towards housing & feeding illegals.
When one looks at the statistics, in total it is mind boggling at the expense of RF to the state. Now they want more millions to refurbish Buckingham palace. Take the cost of £52,000 for a day trip to Scarborough UK (not Canada)-that is scandalous! Someone is not doing the accounts correctly. Someone is smugging the figures. UK has children homeless, starving, working parents go to food banks, NHS & schools with crumbling buildings, there is no debt relief for students who desperately want a better life. And yet, there is more money to be given to the RF who can afford for decades to come, to finance their own living expenses. If King Charles does not open his eyes & his heart to drastically change the way in which the RF drains the State of "hidden" financial support, then there is no hope in hell for the next king who is already used to live in astronomical luxury.
Maybe stop counting the money and count the lives of soldiers over the last 300+ years fighting in foreign lands to benefit who..not the soldiers or their familys.
I love the way the Royalist say we get value for money. They calculate the money brought in by tourism (very silly way to calculate value)- yet if the Royal Family were taken out of the equation, we would still get the same amount of tourism. People come to see buildings not the Royal Family and that will never change.

Royalty being in control of the seashore goes back to 1066. The King gets 12% now of the profits of the Crown Estate. Any of that is outrageous. And as part of the culture it is unacceptable that the King should make so much more money not through taking risk. We need to reward business expertise highly that benefits society but not yet more inheritance that is the result of the UKs ancient history going back to Norman times..

The Royal Family is worth £104 million, which is £1.54 per person per year! Their contribution to the country's income from tourism and other things is £1.7 billion, that is £25.34 per person. They give back through tourism more than they spend.
