Giggle CEO prepared to take lawsuit to High Court to ensure ‘women have rights’

- Transgender woman Roxanne Tickle has won a discrimination case after being banned from the female-only app Giggle for Girls.
Giggle CEO Sall Grover joined Sky News host Andrew Bolt to discuss the ruling.
“Federal court, it cost us $500,000 in legal fees to defend ourselves” Ms Grover told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
“For the High Court, it will be anywhere between $500 - 800,000.
"If legislators actually did their jobs and ensured that the law protected everybody, they could change this for free in like a week.
“But instead, we will take it to the High Court and, fight to ensure that women have rights.”

Those are exceptions which confirm the rule.
The two sexes are functional in reproduction, and having conditions which make you able to both impregnate someone and become pregnant yourself would you make a hermaphrodite which is not a third sex but just having both the other two.
A condition which prevents you from reproducing altogether doesn't constitute a third sex either.
I'd refer to those people just as people with rare conditions and address them in a way they wish to be address.

BTW, the judge's argument were not even a valid argument IF people could change sex, let's say by magically turning a male body into a full-fledged female one or vice versa.

Because Tickle arguably didn't do that, obviously. I don't know what Tickle already has done to their body in order to feminize it but growing their hair longer and wearing a dress definitely does not count as such.
If Tickle is still capable of impregnating a woman, their sex is 'male' by the very DEFINITION.

Who is going to pay the High court fees? Tax payers?
For Mr Tickle's fees? That will almost certainly continue to be the case.
Not so for Ms Grover, who will have to continue to crowdfund in order, hopefully, that the rights of women and girls to female only spaces be reinstated.

In endothermic animals like birds or mammals, including humans, sex is genetically determined and therefore unchangeable. Until we learn to magically turn a male body into a full-fledged female one and vice versa, of course.
Laws are just formal commands, they do not need to be rational or principled, they just have to be written down and signed.
No, if I write down a rule and sign it, that doesn't make it law. It _also_ has to be decreed by an appropriate authority. Australia therefore can't make rules for America, and states can't make laws for federal matters, and national governments can't make laws that contradict God, who made males and females.

It’s about time someone took a stand about people judging other people and how they want to live their lives..if people want to change their gender they have every right..that’s why there is treatment for gender reassignment. Some people are just bigots living in the last century..this is the 21st century and people are entitled not to be judged by others trying to hold them to their often questionable standards.

Not that i disagree about sex being genetic, but youre excluding men as if all women are safe for other women and all men are not safe.

I think the point of the app was for women to talk about issues effecting women and to find room mates to share with. I don't see why men couldn't have their own app for similar reasons. And trans people could create their own app too if they want. Its not saying all men arent safe, but sometimes women might want to talk about issues specific to women. They may not feel comfortable discussing these things in front of men - or trans women who don't have the same experiences as biological women.
