I love Kemet, it's so much fun. I really like that you don't really get, like in many other area control games, the 2v1 syndrome throughout the game. Like you said, the game is very aggressive, so you just have to fight everyone. The movement is limited, but not only you can teleport, but some monsters can also boost your movement as far as I remember.
I own all the board games in my friendgroup, and I can guarantee you that no other game is requested by my friends as much as Kemet. It speaks to how awesome it is!
My FAVORITE board game ever! There is SO much to love about this game. It's so tightly designed with very little luck, like a classic strategy game of Chess or Go. But it's also wild and crazy and unpredictable like a game of Risk. This isn't a game where you can sit back and do your own thing and slowly get 100+ victory points by the end of the game. It's s tight race to 8 VPs that you mainly earn by being aggressive. Best thing ever is the "tech tree" of upgrades that all feel game-breakingly powerful but keep the game balanced between all players. By the end of the game, you truyl feel like a god leading your army to conquests. Thanks so much for covering this game, ProZD. I love it and it doesn't get the attention that it should. This video should hopefully bring some much-needed recognition to an absolutely phenomenal game.
As much as I really like your vine-like videos, these board game reviews feel much more genuine and even channels dedicated to board games only have no such joy in reviewing games like this. I've honestly never heard about KEMET (even though I've played many board games like this), so I really appreciate this review and suggestion. I'll definitely try to check it out myself ASAP.
Yea it’s a deterministic combat style, which means Cinderella wins can never happen, but if an army is slightly weaker than the other it can still edge out a victory if the more powerful army is greedy, and plays a weaker card to save the powerful ones for later

My favorite strategy is white 2, blue 1, upgrade white to three, buy the build a pyramid level for free in the night phase and grab first pick of high level whites and a victory point in the first turn.
This game has a lot of abstractions. Power tiles, prayer point, pyramid levels, action tokens, battle cards, divine intervention, creatures, temporary and permanent vp, and im still half way through the video. Feels like some of these could’ve been condensed

I like your reviews, but I think you might be going too deep into all of the rules. I think we can get a general idea how to play the game and then tell us how it felt to play, if it's good, etc. Just a suggestion. Still love your stuff! (And quite like Kemet)

Kemit is my fav game. Love how the design forces everyone to be aggressive. I also like Inis the other game along the Matagot line.
Inis is my favorite of this series of games. There's also Cyclades, the other Matagot area control game.
