Considering that Kuma can somewhat manipulate emotions\feelings, I was imagining that Kuma sent the SH to places close to their own desires and necessities to grow stronger in their fields, based on Kuma's geographic and sociological experience.

Anyone else clock that the first page had King Becori saying "One has to have the heart to do the devil's work" in reference to making the Celestial Dragons happy. Then at the very end of the chapter Kuma says "I would have made a deal with the devil himself" in order to save Bonnie, just before a smash cut to Saint Saturn. Can you say, "framing"
The beginning was for selfish reasons and the ending was for selfless reasons to make deals with the devil. Very poetic!

The ending really got to me, Kuma here thinks his clones will be used to save people, but all we've seen them do is kill and destroy, we never see them putting themselves in the way of a bullet to protect a civilian, or helping out after a natural disaster or anything like that.
[5:02] My personal headcannon for why *Bonney* gets similar to *Queen Connie* when in "Granny mode" would be that she needed a mental image first _("how would I look if I was a granny?")_ in order to age up that much, so meeting Connie at that moment kinda gave her said image - like how she can do an alternate future version of herself as Kuma's biological daughter and thus a Bucaneer. Her standard _"estimated age of 24"_ mode seems to work differently, tho, as it seems to just be her *trying to be in her best possible shape,* thus peak age for performance?
This chapter was the most emotion I think we have ever seen from Dragon. The revolutionaries really have a wholesome relationship
Dragon's last panel in this chapter made me truly believe he is the father of Luffy. His body language and words of endearment scream monkey D luffy as he reassures Kuma of their friendship while placing his fist near his heart
King Becori mentioning the Goa kingdom as inspiration for his plans that pushed Kuma over the edge to overthrow him shows just how deeply interconnected this chapter is going to be right from the beginning.
And people say oda doesn’t have shit planned 😂 I understand adding some new things in later chapters but to say oda doesn’t know what’s gonna happen in his own story is crazy this man is writing peak and he knows
I like the idea that Bonney’s fruit found its way to her, a girl who most desired to change her age so she could “get better” BUT what surprises me is how little reaction I’ve seen to Dragon’s winds of fate line, especially since his little chest bump comes complete with a puff of air in the panel. Would expect to see fans clamoring over mythical Zoan/Logia DF theories again

i quite like the lack of attention given to bonney eating the toshi toshi no mi, actually, because it really reminds you that, outside the grand line, these *are* just special fruits that *can* quite literally grow on trees, as rare as it is. they’re not always the ope ope no mi that’s passed through hands for obscene amounts of money. there’s always gonna be one person who just stumbles across one
"One man revolution of Sorbet" was a badass line. On other chapter revelations, Bonney just somehow finding the Toshi Toshi no Mi and eating it accidentally? Weird move by Oda, I wonder if there's anything deeper about that event or if it's really as mundane as it seems.

The scene of Kuma visiting the places that he sent the Straw Hats really made me wonder if he'd ever been to Amazon Lilly at some point? Cause it otherwise seems that he can only send people to places he's been before. Either way though it never ceases to amaze me how well Oda can tie everything together and make things relevant long after we all thought we were done with them, and more often than not it ends up making perfect sense.
Kuma visited Moriah so he would have worked a world govt spy and message giver for the warlords.
Men are not allowed on the island and it's in the calm belt, so it seems unlikely that he'd just stumble across it. Maybe he anchored off the shore like Momonga did.
The origins of the Pacifista and its name pulled some strings in my heart knowing and seeing how they became in the future. Now, hearing the name Pacifista spreads fear among people not just pirates.
Kuma going to the locations of where he sent the straw hats later on was probably my fav small moment this chapter
I like this situation where Vegapunk calls Kuma "Saint" for his good deeds, when the conversation is overheard by Saturn, who cannot be called "Saint" after all the things he has done. He only has a title among the Celestial Dragons. And Oda compares them a bit in terms of this title and morality, who can actually be called a saint.
Also right after he said he would've made a deal with the devil himself. Extra layer of bonney and kuma both having dfs yet couldn't cure it
I think the implication was that Belo Betty was already the de facto leader of the Eastern forces, they just didn't want to formalise it without Kuma's consent. Obviously it wouldn't make sense logistically to have no command structure in the east just for the sake of honouring Ginny.
How he describes bonny finding the fruit just incarnating in the food shes eating is the way i would imagine luffy would actually die, just accidental fruit consumption followed by combustion
Except Luffy's ultimate food is meat... He'll eat other stuff but mostly because Sanji makes it.

Knowing that Devil Fruits are so rare in the Blues that many consider them to be myths, I wonder if there is any twist involving how Bonnie found her fruit because other than that I don't see why making her eat the Fruit off-screen when it was just a matter of adding one panel of her finding a chest or something in the middle of the chaos.
Its not like we have seen any other df on the island so for all we know shes the only one and there could be none in the neighboring islands. So it doesn't decrease their rarity in anyway. We are looking at it from a meta perspective.

I think the conney look alike thing means one of 2 things. 1. Ginny is her granddaughter that got taken away after bakori took over. Or 2. Bonney modeled her old age form after conney specifically. Possibly creating an alt timeline variant of herself that IS conneys great granddaughter... if that makes any sense.

My personal thought for the Toshi Toshi no Mi: It was probably a treasure of the Sorbet Kingdom. After Becori's dethroning, the people probably tried giving Kuma his treasure out of gratitude, and it ended up in the church, where Bonney - ever a hungry lass - ate it, and so that's how things ended up.
First Appearance of choppermask was on the longringlong island. When a chopper looking reindeer was part of the Foxy Pirates.
That little drawing of MewTwo in that tube was such a nice touch. Kudos to that lol!

How the fuck the king escape from Kuma alive first time
That part where we see the old old King Bulldog and Queen Conny was funny as hell seeing Bonney aged up to her then one of crew picking up the wrong person plus Kuma as well. Not to mention Kuma blasting Becori away was awesome and him traveling to all the islands he sent Perona and strawhats to showing us Kuma can only travel to places he's been to before. Also Vegapunk just wanted peace through the soilders like Kuma but definitely didn't go so smoothly still excited to see how Bonney got cured exactly since her DF didn't do anything and seeing her be friends with Sentomaru was great.

Dragons meeting with kuma could have taken place on the edge of the calm belt if he does have wind abilities it would be very easy for him to collect the commanders from three different seas if he can go straight through the calm belt

7:00 lol like I get what you're saying, it does look very much like the same panel. BUT, when you really think about it, no matter where somebody goes thru along Tequila Wolf, it'll pretty much always look like the same image. I mean, as a bridge, it's basically just a repeating pattern over and over and over and over again and again... Like, that arch thing the ships go under are going to look the same all along it! But, maybe Oda could've drawn it straight on our even top down, to give a different angle. But that would also go against so many design rules and not be nearly as appealing on the eyes TBH lol.
Bonney wished for the fruit the most, so she obtained it. That would be in line with what Vegapunk thinks about Devil Fruits as well, would it not?
Dragon honestly seems like a really decent guy, he shows a lot of concern for his friends. He's smart Luffy. Seeing more of Dragon also shows Luffy really does take after Garp a lot, that's probably going to be something Dragon will enjoy seeing.
You bring up a good point with Bonney, and I feel like Oda has laid the groundwork to explain why it's so common for each character always seems to get the perfect fruit for them. Vegapunk already mentioned that they're a manifestation of human desire, but what if it's not just Zoan's that choose their hosts but also the other types of fruits? Look at people like CP9 who by luck got the right fruits for them, or Bonney here who wanted to age, or even Ace that just wanted power. I bet that Bonneys desire, and perhaps even Kumas as well in some way brought the fruit to her to eat.
I think it’s more likely that the fruit was from King Bekori. After Kuma was crowned king the remaining treasures Bekori had were given to Kuma. I think that Bekori either was planning to give it to the nobles or he received it from them. I also think that is where the devil fruit encyclopedia came from.

It feels like Dragon withholds information sometimes to protect people. Like he probably knew Vegapunk could cure Bonnie but also knew it would come at a cost. So it wasn't until Kuma had truly exhausted all options that he told him.

So I happened to scroll through Twitter and found a post that was pretty interesting about the Bonney thing. The fact that she wanted nothing more than to grow up quickly in order to get better but also travel with Kuma, which makes Vegapunk's statement about Devil Fruits representing the desires of people made the Age Age Fruit damn near perfect for her. Maybe she basically willed it into existence or maybe the fruit chose her like how the Nika fruit happened upon Luffy. Either way, I think it's kinda neat.
It's 4am and I just happened to wake up to this, so you can imagine my delight that the chapter dropped so early in the morning. Hell yes.
Is this the first time Dragon's ship has been confirmed to be all black? I think we've had hints and at times you could pass it off as being in shade or just being hidden by Oda, but even the deck Dragon and Kuma were sitting on was black
So he's heavily hinted to be the man marked by flames? I mean, of course an ambitious rookie who was willing to fight a yonko head on also wanted the world's "most dangerous" bounty
Imagine Kurma finding the fruit and he just teleports it all the way home to Bonney.
I'm glad things are finally starting to make sense with Kuma's backstory, how he can be a member of the Revolutionary Army, a king, a "tyrant", and a pirate all in one. Seeing him travel to all the places he'd eventually send the Straw Hat Pirates is also a nice touch. Dragon, though... despite pointing Kuma in Vegapunk's direction, the fact that he just casually mentions that Ivankov and Inazuma have been caught and imprisoned before moving on while sharing a drink with Kuma definitely feels weird. On top of him not really doing much to save Ginny and his general inactivity throughout the entirety of One Piece's story, it's all starting to make him look really bad in terms of his leadership as Supreme Commander of the Revolutionary Army. I feel like if any when Oda finally has Dragon do something in the story, it's going to be too little too late for some people.
I also liked Vegapunk's role in this chapter, it really highlighted his flaws as a person. First there's his sneaky side, making a deal with Kuma to have his blood to make clone soldiers of him in exchange for curing Bonney (through a stem cell transplant of all things, definitely sounds ahead of its time for a world like One Piece), pointing out that Kuma probably doesn't have the money to pay for such a procedure. Even the way Vegapunk is drawn is rather shady, he's definitely showing of his "evil" and "greedy" aspects that would eventually become Lilith and York respectively. Of course, immediately after that, he's off rambling about his soldiers being defenders of the weak, assuming they'd only be used for altruistic purposes, even naming them "Pacifistas" after Kuma calling himself a "spineless pacifist" (technically not true in that it's shown he IS willing to get violent, but I appreciate the self-deprecation and humility). Vegapunk's overly optimistic and naivete is a nice contrast to Jaygarcia Saturn, listening in on the whole exchange, and bluntly saying that these "clone soldiers" are effectively weapons and they're only useful in terms of how many people they can kill, and how he intents to use them in ways Vegapunk didn't intend for...
By the way, I really love how this flashback is emphasizing Saturn as something of the "big bad" of this whole thing; they fact that he's the only one shown at God Valley is a bit strange, admittedly, though it makes sense seeing as he's the "Warrior God of Science & Defense", which also explains why he's listening in on Vegapunk talking with Kuma. Heck, even when the Five Elders are being informed that Kuma took Bekori's place as king of Sorbet, he's the only one seen. Oda is really driving home just how much this Elder in particular is heavily involved with Kuma and Bonney's history.
...Also, are Ginny and Bonney related to Conney? Bonney was able to perfectly impersonate Conney while in Marijoa? Maybe it's just a coincidence... that they'd look similar and have a similar name-scheme. Sure.
Also, Morley being the one who founded the secret floor of impel down is probably why dragon and Co aren't concerned about Ivankov and Inazuma
Ivankov was content to just wait until Dragon gave some sort of signal or command. Luffy changed that with his question "You know my dad?" Therefore triggering the largest jailbreak of Impel Down ever and Bon Clay taking over Level 5.5 Newkama
What I found to be very interesting was the part of the dialogue between Vega and Kuma where Kuma said he'd take a deal with the devil to cure Bonney to which Vega replied that he was quite the "Saint". Taking a deal with the devil now euqals being a saint? Guess who is calling themselves Saints (Hint: 5 orbiting rocks)... So i kind of see this as a confirmation of the many people and their theories out there claiming that Imu might be the actual Devil. (I mean sure it is more or less obvious at this point.. but I found this to be a nice little confirmation..)
I have 2 questions about this chapter:
1. Can Kuma transport people to places he himself never was? To me this seems like the quick travel button you press in a video game. You can go spontaneously to any place in the world, but you must have been there once before.
2. What happens when Dragon is uttering a command to the MK3 Pacifistas on Egghead?
I think that Bonney may have been force fed the age age fruit as a child with the CD for horrific CD deeds. You can imagine why they would want a child to be able to manipulate her age. That is a dark side of OP theory.
Is it a dark side to the theory or is it your head cannon you made up. You’re the one suggesting the CDS wanted to touch kids. Not Oda. Maybe you have some unresolved issues that are seeping into your comments.

I was under the impression that the Age-Age Fruit was in the Sobret Kingdom's treasury, someone took it as an offering to the new king, and Bonney ate it be6she was hungry.
The more I learn about Kuma the more I feel sorry for him and all he has gone through. Also I saw you put Smoker in towards the end of your video, maybe we Oda will tell us more about him and where he has been. Because I do like Smoker and I think he deserves some time to shine. Been awhile since a One Piece panel gave me chills. The scene with Kuma where you know he's gone down the path of no return... Absolutely stunning.
I want to assume that not showing Bonney eating the Devil Fruit was intentional, and either she'd already eaten the fruit (probably fed it by a Celestial Dragon for... reasons?) or, tying back to Vegapunk's theory, her desire to grow up manifested the ability into the world. Meaning we may have just seen how Devil Fruit are born.
With the seeming access the Celestial Dragons have to Devil Fruits (a la God Valley), I like the idea of Bonney getting the Age Fruit thanks to a final strike against the Govt by Ginny -
Stealing a significant fruit as she leaves Marie Geoise to then feed baby Bonney, who actually had the power this whole time, but only finally activated it due to the forward thinking of her hitting 10?
Of course it feels like too powerful/impactful of a fruit to be forcefed to a wife/slave, or a baby, especially for them to just be let go.

It wasn't stated exactly that Bonnie ate a devil fruit, only that they assumed it was the age age fruit. Something fishy is happening with that. She either doesn't have a devil fruit at all, or her obtaining the fruit is important somehow and will be a revelation Oda is saving for later.

I like to think the age fruit was found by Ginny on God Island. But she didn’t wanna eat it so that her and Kumar can grow up together. And Bonnie just found it hidden in a chest in the church.
I don't think it's ever been considered or talked about but I still get confused about why Kuma doesn't repel the sickness out of Bonney. I thought what was going to happen was Kuma would run out of options, repel it and take on the sickness then Vegapunk makes him a cyborg to fix the illness.
I think the pacifistas will flip to protect Bonney from Saturn. Oda was doing this thing from the start of the egghead arc, that the living creatures or clones that Vegapunk modifies can't be fully ripped of their "will" or something like that. From the shark that almost eats the Sunny, up to S-Snake falling for Luffy. So, not something built in by Vegapunk, but something he couldn't ¿built out?
Dragon has said the word Wind in this chapter and his ship is the Wind Granma. Confident he's got a wind or storm fruit and is loosely based on the 1989 song "Winds of Change" by The Scorpions which became associated with the Revolutions of 1989 and the Fall of the Berlin Wall.
I am surprised that Kuma already got a bounty as a pirate despite he was already participating in anti-World Government missions as a member of the Revolutionary Army which should already guarantee him a bounty at the start.
My guess would be that the WG try to avoid giving revolutionaries bounties to downplay their threat.

@@revimfadli4666 I disagree considering Kuma's reputation. Of course we are assuming Dragon's revolutionaries don't spill the blood of innocents as well. Though Sabo being blamed for Kobra's death really shows that even if the revolutionaries were squeaky clean, they can still be seen by the public as terrorists.
Depending on when Bonney was born pre or post Ginny escaping, I wouldn't put it past the CDs feeding baby Bonney the Age-Age fruit because they think it would be funny.
If so, there weren't that many opportunities for the DF "weakness to water" to manifest since she's mostly indoors, and IIRC bathtubs aren't enough to trigger that.
If not that, then wow, her being a big eater and accidentally eating the DF in one of her feasts also makes sense and did not occur to me. I also like the idea one of the commentors below said that she basically willed the fruit to appear near her because of her sickness.

As obvious as it is in retrospect I didn't expect the Pacifistas to be clones, which means they are much more similar to Germa 66 Soldiers than to traditional robots, being Artificial Soldiers amplified with mechanical parts.
So what i'm taking from this chapter is that maybe you don't actually need the fruits to get the power? Maybe it's just the people believing they will get powers when eating them that grants it?
Here's a thought for you: When Kuma sent Luffy and the Straw Hats flying to their respective isles, this was Kuma's way of returning the favor to Dragon himself. Dragon suggested Kuma take Bonnie to Vegapunk to save her life and in turn when Luffy's life was the most in danger it had been Kuma saved him for Dragon.
I think this chapter happened before Vegapunk created the Satellites. bringing up the cost of Bonney’s treatment and making a potentially Faustian bargain like that is awfully Lilith-esc of him. I get the impression that current Stella Vegapunk would cure a child’s illness free of charge.
I really like the last page of this chapter. Oda created a great contrast between Kuma and St. Saturn.
Saturn, one of the gods and is a so-called saint thinks and has done deeds comparable to a demon or a tyrant.
Meanwhile, we have Kuma, a revolutionary army commamder, branded as the enemy of the government. He is also being perceived as a tyrant. But despite all that, he is a pacifist at heart. He is a saint to the people of Sorbet Kingdom and all of the people close to him.
You guys think Dr. Hiriluk was also around during the God Valley incident? He mentioned once being a master jewel thief in the West during Choppers backstory. We don't know the treasure Rocks was trying to reclaim at the time. Any chance part of it could have been a jewel? I think people should speculate on that a bit more since no one really is.

Dragons’ window Fate line + him being a former Marine, possibly one of Stature, helps edge the theory of a Wind Wind Fruit. Especially seeing Green bull use “mukuton no jutsu” with no sage mode

Isn’t it odd that Bonnie’s deepest hope and desire was to become older, and how did Vegapunk say that Devil Fruits come into existence? Perhaps Bonnie was able to manifest the Devil Fruit.
That isn't the case because her fruit was named in the book.
I always think of the same thing! Oda has to have a giant poster board hung up with his one piece timeline keeping up with all the crazy little details to add back in at different points
Now we finally know why kuma sent the strawhats to those specific islands. It continues to amaze me how Oda is able to tie everything together.
It might be possible that Bonney was fed her fruit either before or during Ginny’s journey back to the Sorbet Kingdom. It’s definitely a fruit that has to be more “activated,” and it’s powers wouldn’t immediately be obvious like with Luffy

More than likely there is a very deliberate reason for not showing how Bonney got her devil fruit. Given she has some seemingly ancient disease it wouldn't suprise me if they were somehow linked. Or maybe she just materialised one herself given what we know of their creation
the part when kuma said "i would've made a deal with the devil himself" feels like "a deal with the five elders"

Dragon did say he would ask every doctor they could find. It was when he told them he was leaving because of her sickness.
This chapter made me wonder about Vegapunk’s own backstory, although at Oda’s recent pace I doubt we’ll see much of it outside of an SBS. What drives not only his scientific research in general, but specifically created his desire to achieve peace by extraordinary means? Who is Vegapunk really, and what forces shaped him in his early days?

I’ve said this before but I needs to be said more still. Your artist who drew king Bekori in this chapter. My god that stuff is absolutely incredible to look at. I don’t even understand what it is they do but it might be something about the rounded shapes, coloring, linework and more, combined that makes them ad up to master piece after masterpiece. I much much much prefer to look at this Bekori than the one in the manga. Here we get the full body with that beautiful hair. Love the nose. I remember drooling over this artists drawings of the Vegapunk satellites too. And you should always have a link to their official platforms in the description.

Idk if you cover it in a future video (I'm catching up) or if someone else has already commented this theory: Jewelry Bonney IS Ginny. Since we were deliberately not shown how she got the fruit, to me that implied that Ginny got the fruit as a slave and then used the power to turn herself into a baby in hopes that a cure can be found. This would wipe her memory and explain why Bonney develops the disease. I have to go back and reread as I may be incorrectly remembering someone saying something like the goodbye message on the transponder snail sounded like a recording? Even without that, this thoery makes too much sense. Super sad. Kuma's wife becomes Kuma's daughter.
