You can put a slice or two of bread along with the vegs in the cooker. Then you don't need cornflour for thickening it. I put a carrot also. That adds to the body of the soup. Try it, you may like that too.

Alternative, rub the tomatoes with oil, bake at 400 degrees for 20 mins, put in a
container, use immersion blender to grind, boil, add spices, butter & serve, it makes
