Loved watching you pick your spuds. I hope the next place is even better for you and your wife❣️ Those white ones have a fungal disease as well as bugs. They will not keep.
Great harvest! Thank you for not speeding the camera up. I enjoyed every second of it. The movement of the camera was a little hard on my eyes. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for your feedback! Try setting on the bottom of the video, it was filmed in high resolution but TH-cam will reduce resolution to aid in buffering speed Set it back to 1080p and videos should be easier on the eyes. Thanks for the comment !
So, you are in Canada? What zone are you in? I'm curious if you have grown the same varieties using different methods, and are able to compare your yields to using the Ruth Stout method? Of course, the video is not over yet. You may answer my questions later. I just growing potatoes, even watching others harvest them. 🥔 🥔🥔
These were grown in southern Ontario I’m in Alberta now so we will see how it goes in the spring! Yes I have grown the same varieties in potato towers and the yields were less than desirable. Thanks for the comment !
@redneckgreenthumb433 I have only been growing potatoes for a couple of seasons. This year, we planted purple magic directly in our raised beds and 3 in the black 10 gal potato pots, with just one potato each. So, it was a pretty tight comparison. The use of the amount of ground that they took up was quite a bit in the raised beds. There was also a lot more pressure from voles tunneling in because there was no screen on the bottom. The pots were definitely easier to care for and harvest. But, the size of the individual potatoes in the raised beds was substantially larger. We are in western Washington state in zone 8b. The weather hasn't been very cold, but the rain has been very heavy this year. It seems like there is not much in the way of definitive information about how potato plants actually grow. It's fun though!
Agreed it takes time to figure it out but I assure you that if you try the Ruth stout method you won’t be disappointed Just try not to over water them as I did in the beginning. The straw holds lots of water
Yes I agree, The red Pontiac’s could have gone a little longer BUT we were on a strict timeline to move accosts the country so I had to harvest them when I did.
Yes it’s been a trend that some older people don’t like the movement, at the bottom of your screen the video quality can be adjusted. If you switch it to 1080p as it was filmed in it’s much easier on the eyes. TH-cam lowers video quality to help with your buffering speed. Thanks for the comment!
I have switched to 1080p and not much difference. With so many pointing it out to you, you should take note and not try to find excuses. We are only trying to help you.@@redneckgreenthumb433

You definitely did good. Nice harvest. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you!

good harvest
Thank you!
Most beautiful potatoes...great job!
Congratulations on a fine harvest ! 💪
Thank you very much!
That was a good harvest. Congratulations. Camera work was a little unsteady to watch comfortably so couldn't watch for long. cheers
Thank you! Sorry the video quality needs to be fixed
Awesome harvest 😊
Thank you!
Maybe trying adding more potassium in later stages and less nitrogen for bigger tubers and less leaf and flower growth.
Good idea, I just amended the soil with an 8-4-4 before planting and didn’t touch it after.
Glad you got a nice harvest but I could only watch to 10 minutes in. Head cam was not a good idea as too much movement.

Yes. That must be the problem.@@redneckgreenthumb433

This video was shot in southern Ontario Canada. I don’t remember the zone
Thanks for the comment!
I think that you should have waited to harvest. The plants are still green. The tubers could have grown more.
Yes I agree, The red Pontiac’s could have gone a little longer BUT we were on a strict timeline to move accosts the country so I had to harvest them when I did.
Too much movement would have loved to spend time watching your wonderful harvest but it made me sea sick
