Ms. Willis stands as a true Patriot in a time of chaos and threats to our Democracy. She is brave, uncompromising, and admirable. She stands true to the oaths that she swore to, when being called to serve in this capacity. What a great role model for our young people, especially young girls. Her example should inspire the rest of us as well, to hold true to the values that this nation was founded on, to protect our democracy, and bring justice to those who would destroy it. 👏🇺🇸

Threats made to another person causes the other person to fear harm. This is painful, raises anxiety & concern. It is a criminal act & must be punished.
When I was a child my grandmother lived on her farm alone. An anonymous caller told her he was going to burn her house down. Probably just a prank but within a week she was in the hospital and from there had to be put in a nursing home. Wether they carry anything out or not they still cause severe damage and ruin lives.
Those messages need played for the public and court televised.

I think the reason why Dump hasn't been jailed is that these judges know that his lawyers would find a MAGAt judge on an appeals court who would just release him, making the judge who jailed him look like a fool. The only way to jail him and keep him jailed, is a guilty verdict.
They're afraid to set a precedent that an American former or current President can be jailed but this is a precedent that NEEDS to be set. Sadly we can and will get another DJT and that's scary to think about.

A threat is an intent to intimidate. It is a crime whether or not they intend to carry out the threat.
As someone who worked in politics my entire adult life I've received dozens of death threats and I can say without hesitation that it sucks and I have never gotten used to it.
I keep saying we're heading toward third world backwater status. These sorts of people come out of the woodwork to show their worst sides. If they're ever the majority we'll look like Afghanistan in a few more heartbeats.
And who would... Completely being comfortable in that hostile climate breeds denial. So he on the toes so to speak. Otherwise crazy lunatics are everywhere and just imagine what ever trump is taking he must of shared with these maga people

This would not have happened if the courts had treated Trump the way they treat every other criminal defendant.

It would not have happened if Trump was taken out as a National Security threat on January 7th and not treated as a criminal.
We now have a excellent example how a 2 tiered justice cause harm to society. If Judge Merchan in NY with the Stormy Daniel case treated trump like everyone else and tossed him in jail pending trial after he posted an image of himself swinging a bat at the DA's head there would not have been all the threats made over the year and a few less people hurt. The House would not have had trump meddling in selecting Mike Johnson as speaker. His support would have dwindled because he would not be in the news except when there is an update with his trials.

My great-grandfather was also a Boston police officer (pre WW II). He was Scottish and had to lie. He said he was Irish because that was the only way to get a job as a Boson police officer.

The Judge today in court should have reminded him that 'No one is above the law' . This is why you have evidence which always proves if someone is guilty or not. He is not the US President so he can't hide behind that title anymore and run away from these cases.

@Lawrence, the story you told of your father is strikingly different from that which my father would tell of his father. My grandfather was a survivor of the Buchenwald concentration camp who was brought to the US after WW2 with his wife, a survivor of Bergen Belszen. As Jews in his native Czechoslovakia, and as immigrants and refugees here in America, they were no strangers to death threats. My grandfather learned his share of lessons from the holocaust, and one of them was “always take death threats seriously.”

I was intimidated and threatened by my Republican neighbors, here in my small city in Tennessee. I made sure they understood that even though I’m elderly and disabled, I wasn’t afraid of them. I in fact, turned the tables on them, making sure I actually knew who they were, and where they lived! They’ve not bothered me any longer.
