1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was with God in the beginning.
3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.
9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.
10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.
(verses from Chapter 1 of the book of John)
    "The Word was God."
    "The Word became flesh."
It is not a stretch to therefore say "God became flesh."
God the Son and God the Father.

Jesus himself didn't think he was not God.
‘Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.’ (Luke 18:19)
‘My Father is greater than I’ (John 14:28)
‘I can of mine own self do nothing.’ (John 5:30)
He also never instructed his disciples to pray to him.
‘When you pray, say Our Father which art in heaven.’ (Luke 11:2)
Apostles didn't think he was God either:
‘Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know.’ (Acts 2:22)
‘The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus.’ (Acts 3:13)
‘God raised up his servant’ (Acts 3:26)
‘We must obey God rather than men! The God of our fathers raised Jesus’ (Acts 5:29-30)
‘he went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.’ (Acts 10:38)

@@vladn6031 Yes I am familiar with the verses that you listed.
‘Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.’ (Luke 18:19)
He is is not saying that he is not God if you really think about it.
And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you. (Exodus 3:14)
Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, BEFORE Abraham was, *I am."*
      (John 8:58)
He also never instructed his disciples to pray to him.
Well I am not disputing that. But if you are trying to say "people should not talk to Jesus" my thoughts about that is this:
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with Me.
      (Revelation 3:20)
Can that really happen truly and well without ever talking to Him???
"A man named Clyde had a dream. It seemed Entirely real and vivid to Him. In telling the story Clyde says "Jesus appeared to me in a dream." At the time he had the dream he was a 77 year old devout Christian man who gave his life to Christ when he was 19 years old. He dreamed he was walking on a dirt road in a beautiful meadow on a sunny day and suddenly Christ appeared to him. With tears in his eyes Clyde said "Jesus I have been wanting to talk to You for a long time." And with deep Love Jesus put His hand on Clyde's shoulder and said...
"Clyde, you can talk to me anytime."
-- At those words the dream was over... Clyde abruptly woke up!
I just take it for granted that that's how it is.
"__________ You can talk to Me anytime..."
Whoever is reading this feel free to insert your own name in the blank.
And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, “All power is given unto Me in Heaven and on earth."
      (Matthew 28:18)
      ...

@@212days About the first verse. He does point to a distinction there.
I'm actually not arguing that Jesus doesn't have a timeless and divine nature which is one with God (which he points to when he says "Before Abraham, I am", "The Father and I are one" etc.), but the idea that Jesus is the only one who does is nonsense. He himself never claimed it. And there are plenty of people who have realized it and can say those same words from direct experience.
I'm not against praying to Jesus and any other being that has realized his/her divinity on a deep level, because such being become channels for God's grace and connecting with them is very beneficial for one's spiritual evolution.

Well you could be right. I tend to see it as quite possibly he was probing to see what the response would be when he said that. --To see where the man's level of awareness was at.
When he said to the woman at the well "Go call your husband and come back here."
He wasn't saying that in a way that he meant for her to do exactly that.

The Book of Hebrews states that Jesus prayed to the Father … the Father likewise prays to the Son.. she doesn’t understand the truth understanding of the Godhead .. her works are likewise based on these fundamental errors

At this point in my understanding, it seems to me that, yes, Jesus was God; and so are you. God is one. There is only God, nothing outside of God. Creation only seems to be things that are separate from God. In fact it’s all God, just as in a dream, all the different things are really you. Then, you inevitably ask, why is there evil? Answer: Ignorance. Evil is nothing but our ignorance of our divine union.
