HIRIYODAIYA Baduga Devotional Song Bugiri Musicals Badaga New Songs

Song "BELLI UTTITHU" - means awakening "HIRIYODAIYA" the foremost forefather who had shown us the supreme lord "SHRI. MAHALINGA" [ LORD SHIVA ].
"DEVVA HABBA" the festival of harvest celebrated during the month of June, July by BADAGAS, the aboriginal community of this hill district, Nilgiris.
People of "THOTHANADU SEEMAI" in particular go to their "DHODDAMANAI, KADANAD" the previous Sunday.
They pay tribute to "HIRIYODAIYA" by submitting "KANIKKAI" [ Single silver coin ].
Then the bhajans will start and continue till next morning. In the early morning of Monday they sing "BELLI UTTITHU" to awaken "HIRIYODAIYA" and help them to go to "LORD SHIVA TEMPLE" at "MADITHORAI" about 15 kms away.
It is their firm belief that a cow from "KADANAD" had gone to "MADITHORAI" to feed milk to "LORD SHIVA" [ UTTU DHEVARU ].
