Oooops! I made a mistake! The graveyard at the end wasn't appearing not because I was at the center of the world, but because there were sunflowers nearby. Sunflowers negate the affect of gravestones! So if you remove the sunflowers in the world when you download it, you'll get a full graveyard. Thank you, Xman101 for pointing that out!
My favorite part of Journey's End is Muramasa damage being buffed by 2. Really changes the weapon. In light of the many replies that have missed the point of this comment, it is sarcasm. The Muramasa damage buff does practically nothing and is one of the least consequential changes in the update, and I know that.
My 6 friends and I started playing on mastermode world. We all got slaughtered by slimes, so a graveyard spawned. For the next hour we were caught in the continuous cycle of trying break gravestones but dying to ghosts. Probably one of the best moments I’ve had in the game.
At least you, unlike me, figured out that was due to the gravestones, and not a new mechanic in Master Mode. I honestly thought it was meant to be that brutally hard for around 2 hours, until I noticed said graveyard was spreading as I died further from it... At that point, I could already handle all the ghosts that appeared from braking the tombstones
The moment I saw him charging up the last prism near the guide while saying “The brilliant minds of relogic thought of a solution” I knew the answer without thinking of it.
They made flails better by not instantly throwing first. I mean, that doesn’t go for the Flarion though. You can get the Sunfury in hell, and it deals 81 damage. You don’t even have to throw it, just keep it around you.
My favourite new feature in Journey's End is the wind physics. It got me hyped up when this update was supposed to be 1.3.6, completly changed the game's atmosphere in a very good way.
Me and my friend just started a play through for 1.4. We are planning on keeping all of our grave yards to make a zombie farm for coins and other items
Ok but mobile is low priority for a reason. Mobile really isn’t a platform that games like Terraria were meant for, so mobile-onlys should be glad that they even have it.
How does that even work. If your soul is inhabiting your player then what is the ghost in the grave? Is it some bit of your soul separated from you? Idk
so yesterday i was playing terraria with my 2 best friends right when the update came out, we started our world at exactly 12:03 (we live in central US) and played literally non stop, at about 1 am, we desided to close and reopen the world real quick because one of my friends kept saying it would fix the lag, when we opened the world again, it was completely empty, just spawn in and fall all the way to hell, there was no backup because the world was saved to the cloud, does anyone know what we can do, because now my two friends dont want to play after 13 hours of work just up and got deleted.
There was a second update released real quick after 1.4... probs bugfix or something, but I had multiplayer issues when my brothers computer updated and mine didn’t... maybe that has something to do with it? Also rip my dude
Here’s an idea. Not sure if you already did it, but what about an ocean temple with traps, as well as a shrine to duke fishron. Maybe put the temple in the new underwater caves?
I actually love the idea that was accidentally discovered of building a ghostly-esque building like a mausoleum with a few designs made with blocks you can't even see without the goggles.
My favourite parts of Journeys End are two things. 1, getting me back into Terraria 2, discovering your channel Fantastic content sir, i've played since the beginning and it blows my mind how far this game has come. My favourite new feature of 1.4? Auto opening doors. Causes some new headaches with accidentally letting in some zombies, but the trade-off for not having to stop every second in a packed town, or perfectly timing your open so you dont run into the door at high speed, is well worth any new problem. It is a very small and simple addition, but I love it.
Bru I came back to terraria after about 6 months of stopping so I could play the last update and I found fog in my house. Thanks to your video I now understand that the fog was from the catacombs I have under my home of every single death I had had in the world. Thanks soo much for this video as I now understand 👍

Would've been really cool to have like a function on a hammer to choose between new and old blending styles, but the fact they bothered at all is really awesome.

Terraria design logic at its finest. Take the most indirect possible approach to solve the problem... and if you've ever seen how this works... 9/10 times there is bugs or some issue associated with this. Really hope they got this working as from the sounds of it... someone will find an "Infinite Tombstone" exploit to crash/destroy worlds.
I discovered the biome by accident when I loaded my old world where I just left the graves around my base when me and my old friends were playing. I thought it was something else but then I looked up online and found some guides and this video, it was kinda sad when I removed the graves since they been there since 2015 when I used to play terraria nearly everyday reminded me of the good old days :D
Me and a bunch of friends started a Master mode playthrough, and before we even had a chance to finish building a small box house, the entire center of the world was an endless graveyard. And we couldn’t remove the graves without dying repeatedly to the massive zombie spawn and ghosts, so we had to start a new world
My favourite part of 1.4 is the fact that it encourages you to build separate houses for each NPC as well as put that NPC in their preferred biome. It encourages us to not build giant towers, (that either look great or crap XD) but to instead build houses that could potentially be unique and really cool looking. I also really like the pylons and the quality of life improvements.
My favorite thing in the update isn't even a new item or block. It's the fact that my two favorite Terraria TH-camrs, who may or may not be you an Chippy, have more content they can make.
Kinda wish they added another variant of Crystal Block, I pretty sure builder would use these two types of blocks. I personaly liked previous one, I found ut unique and usefull. At least they have one still untacted.

My wishlist: Sounds echo when in a cave or while in the water in the ocean biome, like swinging a sword or breaking a or, a vase, anything, rly. The ability to create that echo with a specific block in the over world or anywhere else. Be able to create a comet shower in the sky with a specific block. Auroras that spawn in the snow biome and the ability to create them yourself. More glowy stars. A bit more animated sprites for some npcs and unique npc interactions, like the nurse blushing after the arms dealer flirts with her, or the Pirate captain fishing with the angler or if the angler is on his own, he will fish by himself. The ocean biome could have fish swimming in the background and if this affects fps, you could switch this off. Goldfish should spawn A LOT more frquently, I barely see one nowadays. Space junk up in space that is collectable and salvageable for something else like a new weapon or the upgrade of an existing one. Space sabers and Phaseblades should be throwable. Rpg mode, you and your enemies have levels and you are able to choose a class upon character creation, kill enemies, level up and gain perk points for your skill tree and you will still be able to change classes later on, there should be a lvl cap to keep things balanced and gameplay can prove to be a bit more of a challenge as gear and weapons also need to level up by using specific materials and enemies have more health as certain perks allow you to deal more damage to specific enemies like 10% more to damage to the corruption or to the crimson or to slimes, etc. Give guns a bit more love by adding specialized ranged accessories and more mid-game to end-game, bullet-based guns. Class turrets, Eagle nest, Machine gun turrets, Dungeon Defender's slice and dice dummy (Maybe?) or a stationary Enchanted Sword (Mob) Or Crimson Axe and Frost beam turret to keep small enemies at bay, for balancing reasons, these shouldn't target bosses or event enemies, only small, non-event enemies, have a high cost and have a low dps, they should be placeables like statues.

For the invis blocks, I’ve been using calamity texture pack and placing stone platforms, which doesn’t show up, this is so much for helpful since it’s so hard to build without seeing them
Echo block. YES! I just wanted this thing about a month ago to make thumbnails on a green screen(green spark block with white torches). Now I can do it with ease.
So that's why my sword hilt was covered in fog... I was wondering about that. And yes, my house is a giant sword. I put some graves as some cool looking "story-telling furniture.", and when I updated, everything was covered in fog.
I played on master mode with a friend, died so much we had this in our spawn, spawn killed by ghosts, and grew the graveyard, couldn’t break the graves with our copper picks because our mining was interrupted every single time by the ghosts
My friend and I started a master mode playthrough, we died from slimes enough at our spawn waiting for a friend to join for a graveyard to generate. The night was brutal.
I´m grateful for the stone accent slabs, but i still am sad to see that dynasty wood will now blend. Maybe a mod for that will be available in the future.
I have mixed feelings about the dynasty wood. I liked it not blending, for sure, but I've also learned some uses for it with the blending. But yeah, I agree with you, a mod would be good too :D

Hi, one nitpick. At 3:05, you mention pre-hardmode wraiths. I would just like to point out that you are far more likely to encounter ghosts first since wraiths are actually post-hard mode enemies.
I had made a small graveyard before journeys end and when it came there was fog all over my houses and I really hated it 2 days later I realise why the fog came
My favorite feature in this update is this graveyard biome and also the oasis biome and the zenith I just think this graveyard biome fits on your pumpking crypt entrance maybe can you make a new pumpking crypt that has this biome?
So whats really funny, is im pretty new to terraria and started a play through not to long ago. Its on easy because im a noob but whenever me or one of my freinds died i would collect there tombstone and put it under my house. i have around twelve at the moment. When the update came out my castle was all grey and had fog around it. I didnt know what it was but thought it looked cool so i didnt pay much mind. I also seen the new crafts and thought they were just part of the update as in you can craft them anywhere. However when mobs started spawning i got confused as it was day. Ghosts also spawned with out me breaking any of the tombstones. But i was getting frustrated with it and ended up getting off but now that i know the reason I will go place my graveyard somewhere else. But thank you for this. If i hadnt found out i probably would have started a new world after a bit.
Breh just today my friends and I had the largest graveyard ever because we were playing mediumcore in expert and the slime rain and goblin army event came at the same time when we were relaxing in our house, so they spawn killed us and we had to keep trying to grab our gear after we died to try to kill them and end the event for half an hour
I really like this build! Also I personally am not sure what my favorite addition in Journey's End is since there are so many new things. Block Swap, the final sword, the new bosses, the mannequin changes, golf, and the town pets are all things I really like about the new update though!

It’s nice that people aren’t complaining that the master mode item isn’t an accessory. I think the pets and trophies were great ideas.
The gravediggers shovel is also craft able in ecto mist, which I find extremely useful when making a plantera arena, digging sand, dirt, etc

I had to fight a goblin army and died so many times i was very confused why fof was everywere when i was mining the graves up. This clears it up.

Everybody is really hyped about master mode and stuff, but sandcastles just made my day honestly. I also really like the graveyard biome.

I initially thought this was a fog biome because in my world, I had the grave yard biome near my boss setup. Now I know it’s because the amount of tombstones there were. Thanks, mastermode

For the invis blocks, I’ve been using calamity texture pack and placing stone platforms, which doesn’t show up, this is so much for helpful since it’s so hard to build without seeing them
my fav. thing in the Update, is the windy envent :3 and the new textures,NPC´s and soundtracks

Echo block. YES! I just wanted this thing about a month ago to make thumbnails on a green screen(green spark block with white torches). Now I can do it with ease.
So that's why my sword hilt was covered in fog... I was wondering about that.
And yes, my house is a giant sword. I put some graves as some cool looking "story-telling furniture.", and when I updated, everything was covered in fog.

I played on master mode with a friend, died so much we had this in our spawn, spawn killed by ghosts, and grew the graveyard, couldn’t break the graves with our copper picks because our mining was interrupted every single time by the ghosts
Imagine the arena full of gravestones in 1.3 but after 1.4 comes out, the arena turns into a full-fledged graveyard biome
my favorite part is the background with the eye of cthulhu getting closer every day

You could use the echo block as a wall to change where you want your old one’s army portal!
My friend and I started a master mode playthrough, we died from slimes enough at our spawn waiting for a friend to join for a graveyard to generate. The night was brutal.
so basically now ghost are like those one enemy’s that come out every time you destroy an alter
I´m grateful for the stone accent slabs, but i still am sad to see that dynasty wood will now blend. Maybe a mod for that will be available in the future.
I have mixed feelings about the dynasty wood. I liked it not blending, for sure, but I've also learned some uses for it with the blending. But yeah, I agree with you, a mod would be good too :D

My favorite addition with 1.4 is infinite flight from hallowed boss and the star hoverboard combo

Hi, one nitpick. At 3:05, you mention pre-hardmode wraiths. I would just like to point out that you are far more likely to encounter ghosts first since wraiths are actually post-hard mode enemies.
When I visited my old house, I wondered why it was dark and foggy. I thought some boss was about summon. Now I know.

I had made a small graveyard before journeys end and when it came there was fog all over my houses and I really hated it
2 days later I realise why the fog came

So whats really funny, is im pretty new to terraria and started a play through not to long ago. Its on easy because im a noob but whenever me or one of my freinds died i would collect there tombstone and put it under my house. i have around twelve at the moment. When the update came out my castle was all grey and had fog around it. I didnt know what it was but thought it looked cool so i didnt pay much mind. I also seen the new crafts and thought they were just part of the update as in you can craft them anywhere. However when mobs started spawning i got confused as it was day. Ghosts also spawned with out me breaking any of the tombstones. But i was getting frustrated with it and ended up getting off but now that i know the reason I will go place my graveyard somewhere else. But thank you for this. If i hadnt found out i probably would have started a new world after a bit.
Breh just today my friends and I had the largest graveyard ever because we were playing mediumcore in expert and the slime rain and goblin army event came at the same time when we were relaxing in our house, so they spawn killed us and we had to keep trying to grab our gear after we died to try to kill them and end the event for half an hour

My whole world turned into Graveyard "minibiome" after 1.4 update. Mined a few hundred graves to get rid of it (and that's only the surface).
You could try and put some graves out of sight in the ground to make the entire area a graveyard

I really like this build! Also I personally am not sure what my favorite addition in Journey's End is since there are so many new things. Block Swap, the final sword, the new bosses, the mannequin changes, golf, and the town pets are all things I really like about the new update though!
