Jose Madera on Timbales, and his father "Pin" Madera is 1st Tenor! Alot of family generations in that band! Machito's son Mario Grillo on Bongos- he leads the orchestra now..
@@philippemilanta4677you may be right about year. On an interview Papo Pepin did with WBAI in 2010, he had mentioned being in the Machito band 75-76. Maybe here he was subbing. The quality of film is better in this filming than others done in later years with Machito, with the exception of the video with Lil Ray Romero on bongos (1982-3)Saludos

Yes Jose Madera on timbales. If it hadn't been for you I would never know that Tony Barrero was there. One of my favorite Trumpet players. RIP.

Danny Turner on alto sax. So it must be from 1973 or 1974 (he joined Count Basie ans His Orchestra by the end of 1974).
