I'm definitely feeling the cost of living I'm a mum of 3 and work part time for the NHS luckily it's at home but I've just requested to increase my hours by 5hours a week, going to to trial that and if I can do more I'll up it again, at the minute my wage only just covers bills and leaves nothing left to do/buy nice things x
Bless you, it’s definitely tough times for a lot of people isn’t it. And it’s not just affecting the lower income families anymore. A few years ago, Steve and I would have probably been considered to have a comfortable income. But now it all just seems to go on bills and it’s hard to even save for a holiday nowadays, it just seems impossible 🤦🏼♀️ I hope your extra 5 hours helps to give you a bit more disposable income 🙏🏻🙏🏻 xx

Yes playgroups are fab and very cheap, second hand clothing are great, and literally only buying items that kids actually need not just because they are cute. I ordered alot of my kids xmas gifts from temu which was alot cheaper
Would love to do condensed hours for more time with the kids but how do you cope doing nights when you’ve got the kids all day? When do you sleep lol. I guess you get used to it but I’d be worried I’d struggle to get through the shifts x

Ahhh we did the same! Saved a fortune getting most of their presents on Temu, and they have some lovely bits on there x
