One of the best race(long) of urs. B/w VW & Honda apart frm engine (GDI turbo over square vs PFI -NA under square )difference what I felt is
Steering - Better weighing in VW in High speeds. In Town, City is easy
Chassis/ handing - In mountain winding roads City excels in handling coz being lightweight its easy to do zig zag movement. No heftiness in steering right& left end /opposing turns but in highways feels bit vibrating( steering & chassis) above 120 (3rd gen in better than 4th gen)
Breaking - City excels being lightweight (simple physics), VW need tire widening & rotter upgrade that reduce efficiency
Noise insulation - VW
Fuel Efficiency - Honda
Manual Gearbox & Clutch - No match to Honda any day
Safety / build - VW (But, for me breaking is more imp than build, BTW car are safer than bikes)
Service / interval - German makes best Diesels , they can do 15K coz it got more oil than petrol, better built than petrol, less running temp than petrol. Petrol should be at 10K, GDI turbo petrol even b4. No Germans can make petrol's like Japanese, & Honda the best. Even most of Indian motorcycles are basically from Honda ! Most European makes good Diesels (Volvo, Scania, Bharath Benz Trucks). The best Diesel one can get is from Mercedes Benz, that runs as taxi in German towns ! We are obliged to that brand coz they invented cars !
* VW 1.0 GDI turbo weigh only 90 kg !!, Normally it should weigh at least 120 kg
As an extensive City 3rd gen user, what are ur thoughts on comparison b/w 3rd & 4th gen City ?

Good points. High speed stability of german cars are better than japanese because they are heavy. And so in the case with 3rd gen city. Better stability than 4th gen due to low GC and heavy weight. 4th gen was lightest around 1050 kg. I have a 4th gen. It accelerates faster and changes directions quickly. But the car doesn't like speed above 120.
Indian roads are not safe. Anything can come up from anywhere. Better to be safe. Companies have already tested their vehicles to the limits before launching. Therefore, better to be safe and alive to drive lakhs of kilometres in future.

There is a lot of difference between rash and high speed driving bro. Both Slavia and City was driven without threatening the fellow vehicles. It is only the lorry can be called as rash driving as he didn’t worry about others, he simply changed the lane without indication and also didn’t worry about others. I personally feel rash driving is something related to driving our vehicle with least concern of fellow vehicles in the road and no matter what’s the speed we are driving.

VW endurance test 1.0TSI speeds toll 195km and 1.5TSI clocks at 205km max. No way 1.0 TSI is punny with others , If you haven’t checked about the VW endurance test video go and watch to conclude

They have 1.5 VTEC TURBO which can compete with 1.5 tsi but they don't want to launch it in India as Sales Volumes are very less..They launch cars according to what people wants..Like Best comfort,space, Reliability, Peace of mind ownership experience,Value for money proportion, Safety,Overall practical cars etc
