Way back in the day, I was a young girl who carried my violin on my back everywhere I went. They were playing at a bar in Denton, Tx and their cello player was out that day. They let me play on this song with the percussionist, sharing his mic. Wow, that was almost 20 years ago. Life is beautiful ❤🎀
I've been looking everywhere for this version of the song, with the static at the beginning. I can't describe why that opening is so important to me, but the way the song comes into clarity after the static parts into rhythmic beats... the song isn't the same without it.
John Schiavone Thank you, thank you, thank you. I’ve been looking for the other version of this song on and off for years, I was literally about to give up hope and accept that I imagined it or it’s lost forever. I’m pretty sure it’s more than just the static in the beginning, because I was looking for the “grungier”/heartier version in my head, but as soon as I heard the static in the beginning I flipped out because I recognized it instantly.
The whole arrangement is different, I just thought of this song for the first time in years and the “official” version was not what I remembered at all. I knew there was a much better version and I found this :) This is way better the. the final version they released. Classic case of over production.

Thank you so much!!! The Spotify version drives me nuts. This one has more emotion. The other one is way too jumpy.
Wish they had this up on spotify
