Hello! Hope you're having a lovely day. I went to lincraft and spotlight and they did not have silk crochet threads, so I am buying a medium width silk crochet thread online instead. I want to use silk as I wish to make your design as a family heirloom for a friend and I thought silk is more valuable and a nicer texture. I cannot wait, I am so excited. I practiced a couple of the steps with wool and I KNOW I can do this so I am going the next step and buying the silk thread. Thank you and GOD bless you and your family for being my lace teacher.
Heather, I’m happy to be your lace teacher as long as my fingers continue work! Silk sounds like a wonderful idea and something I’ve actually never tried! I can see this turning out beautifully. Good luck on the new project and I can’t wait to post my new needlelace videos 😊
I'm an armenian woman (in the diaspora of course) and I've always enjoyed textiles and crafting, but its so hard to find information on armenian textile crafts! I really appreciate this video, this will help me preserve armenian culture in my own way :)
I am very grateful to you and your channel. I decided to learn how to make my own lace for some clothes I want to wear (and one day my own wedding gown) but was having a very hard time learning to do it. This is exactly the kind of lace I want and I am SO thankful I'll now be able to pass this tradition on to a new generation of creators. Thank you!
I just came across this beautiful lace making technique- bought the Armenian needle lace book and am so grateful to see this here gifted by you. I am hoping to start to study and make some of this lace - it is absolutely stunning - thankyou!

Hi Ashley, I am using your videos to learn the art of Armenian needlepoint. It is a beautiful craft and I wish to learn more designs. I've watched all you videos and you don't show how to make the little squares shown in the white handkerchief at the bottom of the screen 24 seconds into. could you show this in another viedo?
I love your work. I have never seen this before. You called it needle work and I hope I can learn this. It is a bit complicated to me, but it looks like it can be learned with patience. You also called it needle point. Here in America needle point is very different. Your work is gorgeous. I love your accent. What country are you from? 😍 💐
I just started following along. My only problem is I can't remember how to tie off and switch yarn when your current one gets too short. Don't worry, I'll find it eventually!
Ashley, how can I get in touch with you to help me if I run into a problem? I just started a hankie and it seems to be going okay. I have a face book page if you wish to use it to help me. Sandra Hunt
perhaps it's my fault, but I can't follow these tutorials 😢 There are things that I don't quite understand, like how to make the proper knot, how to add more strings... I think more attention to basic details and instructions is important

Of course I can, I'm glad you are following so closely!
Can i use quilting thread or is it to slippery
Would 8/2 unmercerized cotton work for this? I have tons of it at home. I’ve been using it for needle tatting and would love to try needle lace.
Yes, that would work just fine! The lace will be thicker, which is completely fine if that's the look you love 😀
Hello reader
I have a question to ask you :
Have you ever done a needle lace from scraps of threads?
Hi Jose I have not but this sounds like a very creative idea! Let me know if you try it.
I love your work. I have never seen this before. You called it needle work and I hope I can learn this. It is a bit complicated to me, but it looks like it can be learned with patience. The actual term is needle lace. Thank you, I am happy you liked it. I am Armenian and was raised in Lebanon.
I just started following along. My only problem is I can't remember how to tie off and switch yarn when your current one gets too short. Don't worry, I'll find it eventually!
