Wienpenn_FTW 246 ThDor45 Da, sunt român. Păcat că în România nu se găsesc asemenea chestii la asemenea prețuri. ***** I know that it's an OEM key. It's still good.
This was really awesome, you have my full support on continuing to make these kind of videos. The support doesn't contain any donations though because I am poor as shit :D
"Another one". Hey Bryan, great video. Reminiscent of your old stuff!! Much appreciated. Keep up the great work... Every time you take us on a little tour, it makes me want to visit Japan
Those prices are INCREDIBLE. I live in Toronto and I rarely see prices like that on the same equipment. Thanks for that video and driving around Japan.
+adrian humphreys whats more incredible is going to the dump and going to the place they throw away computers in the last months Ive scored,3 quad cores 2 being q6600's and the other a phenom iix4 quad core all had ram from 8-4 gigs and 500gig hard drives and work good pretty uch all of them had a corrupted OS.Ive also scored like 4 core 2 duo computers and 2 athlon 64 x2 computers all had 4 gigs of ram and have them all up and running and ...it was free.Found others scored 9 in a day they didnt have ram or a hard drive but they all had their core 2 duos in them and nvidia quadro fx 380 cards in them since they were work stations and all of them had lightscribe/ dvd-DL RW drives in sata which was a good thing.seriously goto your local dump and goto the computer section.Ive gotten alot of nice usb keyboards and mouses, wifi cards, video cards. Its almost addicting going their and I got all this in the last month
no one explained what the switches do. You choose to just start yelling and talking shit. you sound real mature and at the same time call me a kid. haha the internet is hilarious
Great video, I first came across your channel about 3 years ago when i built my first pc. I'm currently upgrading with used parts and came across your channel once again. I think I'll stick around because you've really found your niche with these used parts videos in my opinion. Keep up the great work.
+jeffjoraj Its alright really. Because its a MARS card its a great card. Asus puts alot of work into there MARS cards. And that thing has 2 full 120mm case fans to keep those two 580 cores cool.
Vicarious Scrapyard Wars! Used tech stores in Japan are awesome. Having to pay to throw your stuff away explains the reason for this surplus quite nicely. For $153.00, a fine haul indeed. Great video. If you are into the whole retro rebuild aspect of used PC building - this is gold.
cant wait to see more budget builds. Dude, you are doing the pc world a great service with these videos. Because you are opening people's eyes to that you dont need the latest and greatest to have a great pc. Just look for good deals, and you can build yourself a really good pc for half the price.
DUDE!!! That was awesome and interesting show!! Make more videos like these and call them a Scrap scavenger or whatever and then BOOM!!! More views and subs!!!
i got a 660ti gpu for $50 and the card turned out to be a bust !!!!! But i got i5 4440 b85 mobo and 8 gig ram for $150 and they all work flawlessly. This channel really got me into buying used pc parts and so far so good. As long as you can test the parts before hand, you can save good amount of money, yet, not sacrficing the performance by much. Thank you Brian for your hardwork and good luck to yall in hunting for parts
Titan SixtyNine no i live in Germany, and its like the People throw there old stuff away or just Put it into the basement and Buy something new... At least where i live, because Here r no Shops for used pc's.
best video yet. you should make a video everytime you search for stuff. and i love watching the part of videos where you completely clean the entire pc taking apart the gpu and taking out the motherboard.
+Arnie tech such is life my friend. Wait till you see me at the casino, I will lose 10 spins in a row, then when I am out of money my number will come up on the next spin.
+Tech YES City hi you should check out hardwareswap on reddit i just recently got a i5 3470 and a msi h77 motherboard with 8 gigs of gskill ram for 150 bucks total
You should do more of these HUNT videos. They remind me of LGR Thrifts by lazygamereviews here on TH-cam. It's interesting how many awesome deals and good second hand hardware you can find in thrift shops and auction sites these days. Keep up with the great work!
+Tech YES City I love the video..please do more videos like this. Can you do Q&A video? My questions are. 1. What do you do with PCs when you are done. 2. Why are you in Japan? 3. Do you speak Japanese? 4. Can you do more Vlogs in other area than tech (Restaurant, shopping..etc.)
+Kevin park 1. flip em 2. My 3 year old son, got divorced 3. はい、日本語しゃべるよ。 4. If people really want to see it then I can throw in some stuff into the next vlog.
+Tech YES City My condolences on your 3 year old sons marriage, its unfortunate that these things tend to happen when you marry so young. My wishes are that he has a more fruitful marriage, hopefully waiting until hes at least 5 mabye 5 1/2 years old.
Awesome , that was fun seeing what it is like where you live. Parts are about the same price where we live in Missouri so it was not much from what we buy used .
You should definitely go back for that keyboard, those are blue alps switches. People pay shitloads of money for those switches. Literally hundreds of (american) dollars
+Jacob eMatt I probably would have got it if the switches were good, the mid part of the keyboard felt like it had some serious wear compared to the numpad, but definitely an interesting switch, though not as good as topre capacitors, have you tried them?
Why? Is it because you like old Windows 2k laptops like me. I have a Windows 2k laptop which I nick name "Windows 2k destroyer." Why? Because it runs ultra fast with a Core 2 duo 1.83 (I use it on its second core which is 900mhz) with 1gb and 40gb HHD (It dual boots XP with 20gb expect I accidentally broke my XP install earlier.
Amazing video! Love Japan and I can't believe some of the deals you got. Please do more of these type of vids. Include the haggling and negotiating ha ha xD
If you're building for shits and giggles, I suppose taking a $5 power supply off of a shelf and trusting it to deliver its rated wattage is fine. I would never, ever recommend that any one of my own subscribers do that, however. If you want something reliable for something you intend to use on a regular basis, you need a thoroughly tested and vetted unit. Not all units that are "rated 80+" and have shiny black housing with half-decent sleeving are good units.
After watching this video, I have come to the conclusion I hate you. lol. We need places like this state side, but I suppose our waist disposal is not of a high enough quality for this kind of thing.
That's awesome. We don't have those kind of deals here in USA. We have the tech recyclers, but they charge you lots more for stuff they get for free. We do have to pay to take electronics to the dump, but there are places that take it free. Still doesn't help prices. Even online classifieds are expensive for good used tech stuff.
I'd love to see more of these. Though one thing I would suggest, is putting the ending at the end of the video haha. I almost quit watching when you did your wrap up, just to find there was still a few more minutes of video left.
$10 for the Antec SOLO and ASUS P5Q rig? Amazing deal. All that baby needs is a quad Xeon and a cheap 7870. I'm loving the business model you've got going on here. I was doing something similar here in Canada for like 4 years buying underpriced components, building sick budget rigs and then selling them. I never thought to film it and make a TH-cam series, though. Genius stuff buddy.
+spire107 Unfortunately, with the popularity of Scrapyard Wars and now this channel, there are already several people in Toronto doing exactly that via Kijiji while attempting to make money on it and pay the rent with their profits. And yes, a few in Vancouver doing it already as well. Linus bought his system for the recent SYW Season 4 from such a reseller. The train hasn't completely left the "Used PC Gaming Builds 4 Cheap" station -- but it's definitely pulling out.
You should look into buying pallets of this stuff. See if it's worth it. You can bid on just the range of gear you're after. I've always wanted to try it. It would be cool getting a pallet of quad cores and see what you end up with in the end for the price. There are a few places that do this with overstock and store returned items. Mostly kitchen gear.
I was in a sketchy-ish part of Osaka and found quite a few used PC parts stores. I found it before i was into PC building, but i did get a few sticks of DDR2 for 500 yen
I loved Japan. There are a lot of little things I miss, some of them weird, like the smell of dried fish in the market... Try that here in Wal*Mart :) Very deep rooted and cultural people. Might have to go back one day.
14:25 thats a keyboard using blue alps switches, it is mechanical and an old vintage style keyboard that sells for hundreds these days. If I found one for around that price I would have bought it straight away!
loved this one man. What i do in my home town is raid E-WASTE drop offs. I get all this stuff for free. Lots of LGA 775, and 90% of the time it works fine.
+Tech YES City, I don't know if someone has told you this but those are alps switches, they are old and kinda rare mechanical key switches, you can up sale them for a pretty penny, and they are comfortable to use.
Thanks for the Vista key!

Yup
+anson huang Hey, at least you got a Titan X at a killer deal.
+ScreenGames wow
Yeah you'd empty your bank account on outdated tech at modern tech prices.
Probably u would buy just a bunch of mostly not working crap, lul

Just found the channel today. I am in Japan (Kobe) as well, amazing to see another PC builder still living the dream abroad. Keep the vids coming.
Next on Tech YES City:
Bryan finds a Hello Kitty build that is better than a console and taunts his brother merciless.
Stay tuned.

Dude you saved your home big time! Austin's house caught on fire with his 480 SLI setup, I can't even imagine what two 580s in one card would do.
i thought that one of his neighbours air con caught on fire ._.

No keyboard detected! Press F1 to continue.
*Resume
BUT how can I press F1 if there is no keyboard detect.... ugh... nevermind.
heeeeeey, you get the joke...
god, this happens with my battery. it says "Battery not detected! press f1 to continue" and then it works fine...

aha thanks
***** No problem :)
now im wasted , thanks a lot.. .
Chanel keeps getting better. Keep it up man
If you're building for shits and giggles, I suppose taking a $5 power supply off of a shelf and trusting it to deliver its rated wattage is fine. I would never, ever recommend that any one of my own subscribers do that, however. If you want something reliable for something you intend to use on a regular basis, you need a thoroughly tested and vetted unit. Not all units that are "rated 80+" and have shiny black housing with half-decent sleeving are good units.
if you cant afford to gamble 5 dollars then you have an issue.
This is going to be an amazing series
That isnt switch, its just missing button
+JamesYT he meant the switch underneath the missing keycap, maybe blue alps? Idk
That NEC keyboard has Blue ALPS switches
can u speak Japanese?
+Akhtar Zamil Sirajudeen I'd like to see videos where Brian teaches us some Japanese
+Akhtar Zamil Sirajudeen I think so. he teachers English I think.
English teacher by day, Japanese teacher by night!
the antec case is great, still using it, now my 3rd system is in it
After watching this video, I have come to the conclusion I hate you. lol. We need places like this state side, but I suppose our waist disposal is not of a high enough quality for this kind of thing.
+Anthony Pinto You mean like a pawn shop?
Great video man. I hope to see you build with these parts and more videos like this one.
Thank you!
I feel special as one of the people who asked for this type of video.
I wonder what the US equivalent of the these junk stores are called.
eBay.
That's awesome. We don't have those kind of deals here in USA. We have the tech recyclers, but they charge you lots more for stuff they get for free. Wow amazing video, i love your work man! keep it up!!
Here in Sydney we have the North rocks PC parts market, they always have good deals.
This video is exactly what I was after, a bit like "Scrapyard wars" on Linus Tech tips. Please keep these coming dude.
that has been his main focus on his channel since he started it. he guides people into purchasing the best budget builds both new and used.
I envy you, I want that Jar Jar binks mug! Nothing like getting wasted with your good ol' pal Jar Jar.
I'd love to see more of these. Though one thing I would suggest, is putting the ending at the end of the video haha. I almost quit watching when you did your wrap up, just to find there was still a few more minutes of video left.
Would love to see another one of these!

That case at 03:54 is a Sunbeam Transformer; the same case I built my first PC in. What a heavy bastard.

I really wanna see more of these, cool vid!
This was a fantastic video. Another similar one would be lovely.
Plz more pc parts hunt again... enjoy it alot...
Brian, you need to get sponsored by a brake fluid company!
Totally jealous of the deals you get in Japan.
Awesome vid, this makes me wanna visit Japan even more!
Great deals. I wish there were used stores like these in America.
around the 15:30 mark that mouse was a logitech m-uv55a, one of the most comfortable mouses ever to come from logitech
so jealous of the used snes games you have available to you!! here in the states they are highly sought after and the market prices are insane
we need shops like that in uk!! CEX is a rip off :(
Amazing Deals! 10$ for a PC?!
Now i want to live there
17:40, antec case is gorgerous, and about 10 bucks pc with the 775 mainboard? what is the full specs? and the setup is working?
+Tech YES City 14:35 They are ALPS blues, also it is mechanical.
Loving the new intro!
