Actually, I watched a k-drama were the female lead actually had a severely limited wardrobe. the only mystery was how she fit a gigantic puffy winter coat into a tiny drag along brief case size bag when she moved. I've tried that once. Ended up carrying it around for hours. Not our female lead though. Somewhere or other, despite living in a cardboard box, she still had a huge coat...and scarves...and different shoes. They really do have different laws of physics in Korea.
Fr like the maincharacter being poor and broke asf but they still wear everyday a new jacket 💀👍

I do admit to being bored with that one series where she only had 3 outfits all the way through (except for that giant coat)...One more recent C-drama, guy steps out of limousine onto red carpet, and his shoes weren't polished. Every other detail was pretend designer.. but his shoes...scuffed and not even clean. Weirdest series C-drama - make up person only ever did one eye of the second female lead. All made up one side, basic and missing details/eyeshadow on the other eye. Couldn't figure out if it was a fashionista statement or make up person hated this actress lol.

For the 'waiting for the car to hit' part, I was in that situation once. I was crossing the road and then saw a car came my way so fast. Instead of moving out of the way, I just froze in place and unable to move, was so sure that I'm about to die. Thank God the car did stop at the last seconds and the driver yelled at me.

As a costume designer for theatre and film myself, I find the brand name clothes and stuff so so so annoying in dramas. Like... it's my profession to build a wardrobe befitting the character, their likes/dislikes, background/social status etc, but they disregard that completely. And yes, it annoys me to no end that they have stylists and sponsored clothing way out of their price range and all that. There are so many dramas where they're like piss poor BUT they own 20 different kinds of jackets, coats and shoes (mentioning that specifically cause they're more pricey than shirts and bottoms), people do have more of that, even when they're not well off... Oh, and the newest phones (everyone has the same model, too).
