I find it rather interesting England have chosen an isolated area as their camp. This should allow them to stay mostly in their bubble, without any external disturbance. I also reckon their Bundesliga boys will make them accustomed to German lifestyle.
Our tabloid media is an absolute disgrace to the point you wonder whose side they're on at times so keeping the players away from them makes sense. Especially given when we played in Germany for the 2006 World Cup they stayed in Baden Baden and the media did nothing but chase around the players Wives and Girlfriends (where the term WAGs comes from) and it was a complete disaster.
Blankenhain is a good location actually bc it has beautiful nature and cities around it, like Weimar(maybe you know it) and Erfurt, also Thüringen is actually very beautiful. ❤🇩🇪
I remember Euro 2004, checking where the teams were staying, and I remember the Swedish team being very impressed as they stayed in Estoril and everything had been recently painted with the Swedish colours I don't think people had the heart to tell them those were Estoril's colours anyway and the repainting had been to celebrate a promotion to the first tier
I‘m from Iserlohn and the fact that Italy stays here is honestly kind of a meme. They‘re gonna train on the exact same pitch that I’ve played on for years and honestly I can’t see it becoming World Cup standard even if Italy‘s greenkeeper works his magic. It’s a really strange decision to be honest
Interesting Scotland chose to stay in the alps. If they stay at altitude prior to commencing the tournament, they will benefit from altitude training, but if they stay there between and after matches, they will just be hindering recovery.

To those wondering, Wiesbaden and Mainz are just on opposite sides of the Rhein - and both are also capital cities of their respective federal states (Wiesbaden, Hessen; Mainz, Rheinland-Pfalz).
I'm quite astounded why nobody would like to stay on the Baltic coast. Sure, the main reason would be that staying there is EXPENSIVE and that it's far to travel to other stadiums. But on the other hand you get some of the best resorts to stay and regain your energy in Europe.
Its a "depressing" place if u know what I mean, not much to do, cold locals etc but the views are nice especially compared with the industrial cities on the North Rhine or Ruhr
Our amature team will be attending a match this season but the organisers wont tell witch city we'll be going too. Thanks for the heads up Fiago, Wolfsburg it is 😂
As an Englishman who recently moved to Wiesbaden, it’s nice to hear a German confirming it is supposed to be a nice place.. and also to confirm my thoughts that Velbert (where I visited a client a lot) is not a nice place 😂😂
