Omg.. I saw Gary in one of his provincial tours during early 80s dito sa amin sa Cebu. Malapit kasi kami sa isang sikat na AM radio station wherein dun nag guest mga artista and singers galing ng Manila. Papunta pa lang entourage nila Gary kaya wala pa masyado naki usyoso. It was a sunny afternoon. I remembered him looking back at me from the jiffy he was riding. He looked at me in the eyes and smiled. Apakabait ng aura niya. Para syang kuya na nag worry sa akin. He was like, "careful bro, ingat ka sa mga dumadaang mga sasakyan". Dun din unang sumali si Manilyn Reynes as a singing contestant. She's a doll and adorable. She sings really well and very captivating despite her young age. Dahil nga malapit lang kami dun sa station, I got to see a lot of celebrities such as Rey PJ Abellana, Snooky Serna and a lot more. Yung My Only Love ni Sharon, na memorya ko yun because her movie poster has lyrics of the song and it was posted on the walls sa labas ng station. How time flies 😂😂😂... Even yung mga nanalong kandidata ng Miss Universe 1974 ay naabutan ko din. They guested on a famous restaurant na katapat lang din ng radio station. Si Chiquito yung chaperone nila. Biglang nagkagulo sa amin. It was like, "uy, merong mga guests sa restaurant". Nakikiusyuso na rin ako. 😂😂😂 Dinner time yun. The guests were probably invited for dinner. Si Miss Finland yung talagang nakita ko nang malapitan. My childhood was really awesome. Di pa kasi uso gadgets noon kaya we kids spend most of our time in the outdoors. Uuwi lang kami ng bahay during meal times. My father was kinda strict. Kailangan kumpleto kami lahat tuwing meal time. Happy childhood kahit nakikinood lang ng TV sa neighborhood. Happy kahit salat sa mga materyal na bagay. Happy kahit walang mga mamahaling toys. I guess kids are resilient. Despite not having toys but we did have one another. Enjoying the company... playing outdoor games. Kung anong usong laro, we always had our versions of it. 😂😂😂. Batang 70s, 80s lang makakarelate 😂😂😂

Regine is really a good example that when you love something you mold and sharpen it. She got the talent, pero over the years she really did pushed herself to be better and it really showed with her performances over the years. She really found her voice and went with it and became one of the best talents that the Philippines or maybe the world has ever have.
