  • This rare example of early urban Charlotte architecture is situated on a wide fenced lot. The wrap around porch welcomes you to take a seat and sit a spell. Period details include push button switches, heart of pine floors, high ceilings and claw foot tub. Lots of updates with large island kitchen, cozy family room and replacement windows. Lots of love and care has gone into this home! For more information on 818 37th Street in Charlotte's Arts District neighborhood contact Savvy + Co. It looks odd that there's only one built-in bookcase next to the fireplace, instead of one on each side 1:08. Also, I was surprised to see those big arched openings into several of the rooms; I expected to see square openings/casings, as several of the smaller rooms have. It's hard to tell whether these "issues" are original to the house or added during the remodel.
