- Welcome to my LA studio apartment y'all! Here's what $1,900 gets you here. I've been in LA for 4 years but it's been over a year since I finally got my own apartment! Living alone in this city is expensive and can be scary. I'm so grateful I got to experience living alone in this city while doing it on a budget!

CONS OF LIVING IN THIS APARTMENT
- Surrounding area is loud
- The package delivery system is outdated and packages can be stolen
- Depending on location, not the best/cleanly neighbors...
- No dishwasher/counter space
- 30-45min ride to DTLA/Beaches depending on traffic
- No infestation in my unit but there are insects, pests, and people not cleaning after their dogs
PROS OF LIVING IN THIS APARTMENT
- Rent is cheap compared to surrounding areas
- Rent included gas, parking, pool, and gym. Wifi with Spectrum is free!
- Was able to save money to travel & pay off debt
- I got creative & made it feel like home
- Very spacious closets & cabinets
- Came with a refrigerator
- Great sunlight
- Rent controlled!!!
Areas I suggest living in (on the cheaper side/some cons)
- DTLA (USC area) may find cheap housing with students
- Panorama City
- Van Nuys
- Westwood (UCLA area) may find cheap housing with students
- North Hollywood (West)

I love the idea of having a list of your community with different resources for your needs. That's so beautiful to remind yourself you are not alone. The color scheme for your bed is such a calm vibe. Love it!
Besides the obvious fact that this apartment is gorgeous, I get sad thinking about how it is 1900, for the same amount in South Africa, you would get ultra luxury with a view of the Cape Town sea... for 2 months! Lol

Hi! I just moved out of those exact apartments a few months ago. The closet doors gave it away lol if you’ve lived there, you know. I really pray you like living there & get the most of it 💛 I lived there for 6 yrs (bc I hate moving lol) and I can’t believe how expensive they’ve gotten. When I moved in it was 1300/month and my studio came with a bigger kitchen and microwave smh. Nevertheless I love how you’ve decorated the place & hope you have an amazing and safe stay for as long as you choose to stay 😊
Lol, facts. I like the apartment not the management. I'd agree that it should be cheaper since the management and building upkeep isn't the greatest. That's why I had to spice my apartment up!

I live here too and locked it in at 1300 but this apartment is built for Gods strongest soldiers.

Lovely space. I used to have that same couch and man I miss it. The only other thing I'd do is a sliding/folding screen between the desk and bedside stand. That way you could pull it closed part way at bedtime.
You and your place are sooo pretty!! I love how you used the bath tray on your ottoman that’s sooo smart !

This is misleading. A year ago prices were way lower. It is about 2600 for a studio in a safe area of L.A. now!

You really were in the wrong places. Almost all the places you went were rather sketchy. And nobody takes public transportation. Hollywood is one of the worst places to hang out and the area of Santa Monica where you were at is filled with homeless
