12 Apostles to Bells Beach 2024 - Part 3 More Natural Wonders - Great Ocean Road 4K

After visiting the 12 Apostles area, I took the Great Ocean Road and captured these scenic places along the way back to Melbourne; Melba Gully, Castle Cove Lookout, Cape Otway Light Station, Apollo Bay (town), Carisbrook Falls, St Georges River, Lorne-Queenscliff Coastal Reserve, Lorne Jetty, Lorne (town), Aireys Inlet (town), Split Point Lighthouse, Fairhaven beach, Bells Beach and Southside Beach. It was a big day so after Bells Beach I took the main road back to Melbourne.
I filmed all 3 videos on a single day trip. I left Melbourne at 3:30am and took the quickest 3 hour road to the 12 Apostles, arriving at 6:30am. I explored the area and then took a slow drive back to Melbourne along the Great Ocean Road to film this video and got back home in Southbank, Melbourne by 7:30pm on the same day.
It was an amazing trip particularly on a nice day like the one I had. The windy, scenic road was an awesome experience. If you visit then a trip over 2 days or more would be best.

I remember camping along this road (when it was allowed) many times & surfing at the beaches all day. Surfing is an amazing hangover cure! So many magical places, Wye River, Kennet River, Lorne, Apollo Bay just name a few that you didn't already mention. This is my favourite part of our state. Excuse me, I'll head to Great Ocean Road next month. Can I fly my drone around twelve apostles and gibson steps? Is there any billboard with "No drone"? I check the AALTI app, it shows can fly with caution.

I did see signs however CASA allow it. It can be risky as there is a tourist helicopter plus hundreds of tourists. I got there at 6:30am before people got there and well before the helicopter service started. I did not spend a lot of time flying. I got my flight and left. I also didn't fly over anyone. Good luck.
