  • In this video I explain the reasons why your contacts are missing and what you can do to get them back. There are 3 likely scenarios and usually all that has happened is you are storing your contacts on another server. I explain this in detail so you can understand the problem and what you need to do to fix it. Don't Panic! Odds are we can get your contacts back, it's not a guarantee but a lot of times all we need to do is simply find out where the contacts are and then put them back on the phone, so follow my steps and we should be able to get you taken care of!

So sounds like if someone ascertains my Apple I.D. through deceitful means and for purpose of spying/hacking remotely, could be the reason some of my contacts are missing all the sudden, along with echoing when on phone conversations, and weird delays and slow responsiveness of phone features, and garbled text when trying to type back and forth with someone via text, is that possible??

Not really. Your ID is usually well known to 'hackers' because your ID is always an email address, and email addresses are easy to get. For someone to 'hack' an iPhone is basically impossible. What can be hacked are the apps on the phone, but not the phone itself. Again, this is highly unlikely for a number of reasons that would take too long to explain. The issue you're having sounds more like you have a 'glitch', not a 'hack'. For contacts to be missing though is usually a much simpler explanation, those contacts are stored somewhere else and your phone has lost connection to whatever that source is, usually an email address that was removed from the phone. For the other things you listed it's either a glitch (most likely) or the phone is older and wearing out. You may also need to update your software. At the end of the day the % I would give to your phone being hacked is less than 1%. Your other issues you should probably erase your phone and set it up again. The trick is to make a backup of your phone, then erase your phone, then when you set up your phone again DON'T use the backup you made. Sounds crazy, but that's the way to do it. The reason is because if you have a 'glitch' then you don't want the glitch to go back on the phone because there's a good chance it was saved in your backup. The good news is that by simply making the backup to the cloud, then erasing your phone, then setting it up again, once you put in your ID and tell the phone NOT to use the backup then you'll get everything put back on your phone anyway, except for the glitch. You would still need to put in any email accounts, and you'd have to go back to the App store to download your apps again, but doing it this way prevents you from putting any kind of glitch or error back onto the phone.

You need to just explain the solution, and stop all the story telling.

I'll take that under advisement but my videos are not designed for quick solutions but rather to explain how you got into the situation you're in so you can avoid being in that situation in the future. I at least hope you were able to get your contacts back!

Why did they go missing in the first place?

It depends - could be a new apple ID (most likely not that) - could be those contacts were associated with an email address that a person put into their phone, usually adding an email address that included contacts they had saved under that email, they then port over to the device but then the email address is removed or deleted from the phone - could be something else. The main thing to understand is that the contacts did not just vanish or get deleted but instead the thing that they were associated with was removed from the phone and that's why they're gone - in rare circumstances it could be an issue with the iCloud but not usually the case
