This also includes changing the style as that is still a cover. In order for them to claim copyright they would need to have legally got the correct license for the cover.

My annoyance at the interview piece labeling it AI is because people default to thinking of GENERATIVE AI in the current media environment, and that's not what's going on here. There's actual human effort involved with this, it isn't being fabricated from whole cloth by a machine.
