    I've followed leonard susskind and his holographic principle since I was old enough to understand it. Its beautiful too see how refined and streamlined so to say, that it has become.

    I have a question dedicated to specialists about black holes: how is it possible that 2 singularities, so supposedly not having any dimension / size, can merge in space ? That’s sounds inconsistent to me. Gravity explains the attraction, no problem with that. But how 2 « bodies », having no size, could meet and merge. What does it mean fundamentally ?

      @AlexanderShamov หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm a mathematician, so not exactly the kind of specialist you're seeking. But as far as I understand, no one actually claims that they're "bodies with zero size" or anything like that. The claim is that it's a small region where the classical description of spacetime fails. It doesn't mean that the actual, physical densities or curvatures become infinite, it means that these singularities have some unknown microscopic structure, but describing it requires a more precise theory - presumably, some version of quantum gravity. So the exact description of how they merge depends on what that structure looks like.

    I wonder what would happen if Alice and Bob meet at the center of the wormhole embrace and stay like that. Which blackhole they would go to meet the singularity without one of them traversing the wormhole?

    I've always felt like the statements "for the outside observer things falling in will slowly be infinitely redshifted, but in principle continue to emit arbitrarily redshifted light forever" and "the very dim red light coming off a black hole must contain information on what went in" always seemed consistent. I'm sure there's a reason it's not but I've never understood why one couldn't equal the other.

    I'm not a physicist, just a person who is fascinated by physics. I'm slowly working my head around fields and other phenomena and I have a question that I'm not exactly sure how to explain it.
    I'm wondering: If the universe is pixelated at the Planck length, is there a force that binds those pixels together? Sort of like how the strong nuclear force binds quarks?

    • @SirTravelMuffin
      @SirTravelMuffin 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting to think about. But I can't imagine what would be BETWEEN the pixels. If I try, I imagine more space between them (an infinitesimal amount visually), and that isn't allowed from the premise that space is quantized... maybe?

    Is there anything inside the tunnels? How many characters end up in transit, and what would be the effect upon the mass, spin, and charge of the respective holes? Wouldn’t time be passing at different rates with distance so that measurement could become reduced to nothing?

    Why is Friedman equation calculated with perfect fluid when we know space is anything but? It for one thing is visibly infinitely compressible and likely thixotropic. This is why low density regions are more viscous and denser regions less viscous. The large viscosity of deep vacuum gives it behavior like mass or inertia. In denser regions like galaxy the low viscosity encourages micro turbulence which absorbs the large scale rotational energy and explains galactic disk problem.
    And quantum unit of mass is the rotating neutralized charge pair in both proton and neutron. P = +2/3 +2/3 -1/3 but it is this neutralized +1/3-1/3 which spins in the core and causes mass because m=E/c^2. The rotation at c induces inertia c^2.
    N = +1/3+1/3-2/3 = two neutral spinning charge pairs but Pauli exclusion so unstable so decomposition. Ejection of electron but electron being in further orbit and like charges repel so a decaying neutron creates space.
    The neutrons that fall into black hole at c at moment of collapse re emerge in deep low energy voids. Neutrons moving at c which then decompose into protons and electrons. Primordial H. Thus replacing the matter and space lost in collapse. Klein bottle universe.

    14:45 🤯 Yeah! Why not? If their whole Spacetime reference is stretched and distorted or "dilated", it shouldn't make a difference from their perspective. Our Spacetime is always being dilated and jiggled by far off cosmic explosions and we don't notice. When Spacetime dilates, you dilate with it. I love it! Except for the detail about the outside observers. How would they be able to look at the "surface" of a Black hole. Even if they were relatively close at a safe distance. That would be so cool though.

    Directly on topic, "Entropy" must fit into pulse-evolution QM-TIME Completeness, and the Modulation pulse-evolution Mechanism at universal Centre of Time Duration Timing Singularity dictates mathematically, that entropy in an aspect-alignment of AM-FM phase-shifting pulses corresponding to solid-liquid-gas-plasma and Sublimation phenomena. The collision product of Accelerators must show the dependence of the Holographic Principle matrix of time-timing i-reflection containment states at specific categories of phase-locked coherence-cohesion sync-duration resonances such as galactic black holes.., Event Horizon e-Pi-i sync-duration phenomenon in general relative-timing ratio-rates.

    Locality has a nature to compactify itself while the diffeomorphism doesn't necessarily guarantee homeomorphism (holomorphicity).

    The opposite is true: the biggest puzzle of physics is that physics (the physical world or the universe(s)) exist and NOT that physical theories exist! Any sufficiently qualified IGUS (information gathering and utilizing species) could have developed physical theories, they just had to have the ability to classify and metaclassify phenomena and the ability to construe mathematical (preferably geometrical) models

    Euler's pure-math relative-timing ratio-rates function, is the self-defining GD&P projection-drawing Actuality.., however "weird and mysterious" it may seem to a non mathematical intuition, ..Polar-Cartesian self-defining awareness of NOW = Absolute Zero-infinity reference-framing of this QM Eternity-now Spacetime Interval.

    We need more philosophers of science & computer/machine learning techniques to highlight possible paths to explore our understanding
