phew!!! He talked about this series and difficulty in acting in one of anupama chopra's interview because he didn't have any frame of reference as he never went through such experience personally. He had said he was in a very PAINFUL situation to enact this character. Now I can understand him better on what he said and his difficulties. Pure gem as an actor. Thanks for the video upload @ControlMastery.
I lost my youngest sister in the year 2009 and was totally shattered. I am going through that same pain knowing I will never see Sir IRRFAN KHAN again. Such impression did he make in our lives. What can be more accomplishing for an artist than to make an impact like that on people. We certainly lost a TREASURE #Legend
is one of the writer of the show indian? i ask because it is stunning how well the writers have captured the average indian educated brahmin's mentality. perfect. had i married a white woman, i can see my father behaving the same way.
yeah,..without having a Bengali writer this insight is impossible ! I am stunned ! Why don't they make more of these episodes? I saw Lie To Me and I thought oh, such good observation but after seeing this, i think that was trash.
Weird. Bengal especially Bengali hindus have the least social aspect of Honour killings yet the narrative here is quite the opposite. Aren't bengalies mocked in India for being too liberal in the 1st place?
@@kunalm15 You didn't have to emphasise bengalies aren't liberal by world standard. No one is liberal by world standard.Thats why nations exist. *Do Read properly* before getting anxiety to reply. Also do check out statistics in National Crime Records Bureau.
This could be explained by a SPOILER in episodes ahead...ie. Sunil is exagerrating his view of honour killings for a very specific reason. Of season three, Sunil's episodes are by far the best written.
RIP , this show is lesser known but its a gem of a performance.

Bengalis are liberal by Indian standards but not by world standards.

I am slightly confused. "..what she sees in HER son and himself" or "..what she sees in HIS son and himself"? Thanks for the post, in any case.
