Im planning for an event, cant take any of the imperial agents, and im fancying trying out that dreadknight list, as my current list is 6xdreadknights that i feel is too skewed.
So for that list, with the now freed up 150 points, in going back and forth about either adding another strike/interceptor unit, or to add a brotherhood champ to a strike unit for that sweet fights first, and then maybe another techmarine or a servitor unit and an enhancement.
Do you have any thoughts on this?
Also, what role do you plan on for the techmarine you have in the list? Solo running, tied to a strike or to buff some dreadknights?
(A silly part of me wants to drop the sigil and then add a stormtalon instead of the abovementioned).
Its to bad we wont see a codex this year. That being said im glad they confirmed next year.

I have seen a lot of lists with terminator spam, what do you think about those?
So something like this:
Kaldor
Librarian x2/3
GMNDK (because of anti tank) sometimes x2
3/4x5 terminators (for librarians and draigo)
Strike squad
interceptor squad
Basically a lot of termies to be annoing with the apothecary and the saves. People tend to also not like calidus assasin, saying she is too expensive at 100 points. i feel like she is a priority to kill for a lot and additional unit for uppy downy is cool.
Also, what do you think about brotherhood champion? the one with fight first? i think it might be very surprising for people when they try to charge strikes and be a "failsafe" for strikes

Not gonna lie, it was surprisingly good! Terminators were super hard to kill and the Walkers went around deleting stuff, while the strike squad just ran around avoiding combat stickying objectives.
I think I'll do the next ITC in a couple weeks with Canis Rex, another Dreadknight, and another paladin squad. lol
Got my dreadknights shot off the board recently and easily in a tournament by some tanks with 36”-72” range. So I was looking to pick up a titan to combat that, and was leaning towards canis Rex, but then I saw knight castelan, who has tons of far ranged damage. Is that a better option than Rex in those scenarios? And any other tips for keeping dreadknights alive?
@@jasonr2727 keep them behind a sliver of cover and you can pop -1ap strat. So you have a 3+ save for anything AP 3

I'm playing for teams at the moment and my team mates keep trying to convince me to run 10 Terminators with draigo, mostly for secret mission.
I'm not sure about it as it's a big unit and it's hard to pick up and put down.

@@squishysquid6796 my draigo usually doesn't live till the end of the game. You can do the battle line one, or control 3 objectives
For the fixed list/grand master paladin combo:
Why are they so hard to kill? The entry for his ability states that he won't ignore modifiers to save rolls, so what else would he protect against?

Unfortunatly the paladin blob isnt unkillable unless you play them perfectly i have an admeq buddy who loves his overwatching breachers with sustain 2 rerolls to hit and its a rough time

For people running Rex, wouldn't it be better just to play knights instead of putting him into a grey knights list?
@@ryandemont2738 it's self sufficient in GKs, hits on 2s and doesn't need to be buffed. While grey knights do secondaries
