It's so hard when people keep pressuring you to eat and telling them "you're not hungry" or "you're on a diet" they won't take it as an answer. They'll say "you don't need to diet" "you have to/can eat s little something". I feel like telling people I'm fasting just ends the discussion and gives you a chance to discuss the benefits and the spiritual relevance.
It's fine to tell others if that's necessary, what matter is your intention!!!

Dr Myles Munroe, covered the physical side of fasting, how to go about it.... in this segment. But remember fasting with out Studying the Word of God is a fruitless exercise, we deprive the flesh of food, so we can feed on spiritual food. Fasting without prayer and reading the Word of God is a diet.

MPHO MULAUDZI this is only a snippet of the original sermon. The original sermon name is the power of fasting, and he mentioned that the time you took you go to the grocery store, meal prep, cook and eat your food should all be dedicated to God in studying God word and meditating trying to hear from God. He said you will get back at least 7 hours in your day you took to eat now you can dedicate that time to God. Of course the time will vary for everyone but he just gave an estimate. I would encourage you to listen to the full sermon because it’s over an hour long and this is only 11 minutes from the original. God bless!

I'm glad I came across this video. I am preparing for my first fast. I am lost in my life and completely consumed by things that will kill me. I find it extremely hard to break these horrible habits. I'm fasting to build a relationship with God and to break off in me what I find so hard to let go of. I know this is only the beginning, and it's a lifelong commitment. I am ready to receive God in my life.

I fasted 20 days on 5 occasions. It’s very, very difficult. I can honestly say I hate it from the bottom of my part. I can also say it’s the best thing that happened in my relationship with Jesus.

On the esther fast ..no food or drink for three days....it was difficult .but I listened to worship music and read scriptures...and was in my silent season ...got more closer to the lord and I journaled.....revealing more about me ..and myself...slowly but surely things are coming to fast....keep going y'all ....have faith and believe......going to do every month...

This was an excellent video. I’ve been fasting for nearly 40 years. It is truly beneficial to the mind, body, and soul. In fact, my memory is sharp and clear than opposed to when I’m not fasting. I’m going to make an effort to intentionally fast on a weekly basis. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

How do you prepare your body for a fast
Sebab ..First and most importantly, pray that Our Father guides you and give you strength. Stop eating unhealthy and choose clean foods. No fast foods, increase your water intake and try to reduce your meals to two, then one per day. Leave sugars and carbs alone.

Took fifteen years to dance again but with determination and hard work and training I got there and now have made other goals for life. Don’t over do the water as it can cause brain damage. Drink smart and wisely and everything in moderation. You can pray anytime anywhere. Even inside you doesn’t have to be loud for the e world to hear

Thank you so much for this video! The Lord has really been calling me to fast lately, and this makes so much sense! Our pastor is actually doing a series now and fasting so I sent a copy of it to him also.
When it was mentioned to drink water, the one thing that I immediately thought about was the immune system. I saw a video where under a microscope, the immune cells operated far better when a person is hydrated becuase they can 'swim' through and encounter toxins far better. When they compared the immune cells of a person that did not drink enough water, those cells were being eaten up by the bad guys. That really freaked me out and it's like they could barely keep up. So.....yes, I will drink tons of water.

This is good but when fasting one MUST dedicate himself or herself to STUDYING the Word of God and Praying. I guess this is not the whole sermon.. This is when "The Word becomes FLESH (John 1:1, John 6:27)and flesh becomes "Spirit" (John 6:63) Focussing on the Word and Prayers ( for me) by the THIRD DAY.. I start receiving from God in many ways.. Then move to the miraculous. My brain becomes clearer.. Problems and burdens that weighed me down are lifted. It is like my MIND entered the Heavenly realm to "see" things and I literally forget food!!! When one reaches that "realm" food make no meaning but sometimes reality of everyday life hits you. That is why ( unless one cannot avoid it) It is good to take a retreat... Then also "issues of the 'other side' can cause distractions...but one MUST be sensitive... Just MY THOUGHTS from Nigeria, West Africa...

I naturally by the grace of God stopped eating junk foods. I literally have no taste for them. I thought it was just me growing up but nope the Lord did me the favor(: I would have not done that on my own. Yes I crave it sometimes but not like before thank God!
