What a refreshing LP. I'm imagining sitting next to my window and reading the credits while I enjoy the music. Soon as you press play and hear the opening to _That's Just My Way..._ WHEW! That part alone had me completely satisfied. My favorite ended up being _When You Think of Me._ Anything featuring Mr. Roy Ayers is a winner. _Love of My Own_ always makes me cry. Love that cut. I think _Ghetto Girl_ is kinda underrated. I ain't gon hold y'all. They don't make 'em like this no more. And they damn sho' don't sang like this no more. Nah that I can guarantee.
My Favorites off this album: "Dust in the Wind" (remake) 🔥 "Georgie Porgie" another 🔥remake "Love of My Own" stays on repeat "Spend My Life" a classic "Love the Hurt Away" smooth "Ghetto Girl" "Why You Follow Me" "When You Think of Me"
A time when true romance and sexiness was accepted from a woman from a man !Gone are the days !Thanks Eric Benet and artist of that time for true music that was an awesome time space for me bruh !
Sounds as good today as when it was originally released 25 years ago, (yep that really is 25 years), Benet produced brand new material which at the time was different from anything else on the market. Shows that he was an innovator of his time.
This album is underrated! 🔥
Most definitely
Eric Benet and Allison Ball-Gabriel did their thing, with the development of this album that is a masterpiece.
