George’s guitar playing was like anyone else and can’t be copied. He has such fantastic feel and touch, with great emotion. So smooth and melodic. He played with love. Never with hate. He is missed and there will never be another like him.

In fact, the greatest that ever lived. No one can stir emotions with a guitar solo like he did. I always feel as though my soul is leaving the body to a higher sphere as the note progression goes higher and smoother.

He was a craftsman with impeccable timing, conscious of tone and recognizable style of his own. He could play it all jazz, blues rockabilly.classical and more Mostly known for playing to the song.

I remember playing this album on repeat while viewing the passing Alaskan scenery in 2007. I couldn't help but feel blessed by God everytime I heard George's voice and guitar.

This is one more best song of George's that I never heard. Three new (to me) songs in two days. It just shows that everytime I think I have seen and heard all the best that George had to offer, one more gift arrives. Talk about a great two days.

Classic forgotten ATMP track. George never bothered to get it right until the ATMP re-release in 2001. Could have been a great track for the Dark Horse LP in 1974. Why not? He did the same with You on Extra Texture.

For those who are commenting that I used too many photos of Pattie...all my videos were made over 10 years ago. At the time I made this video, I had more pictures of George with Pattie than of him with Olivia. And I thought they were good pictures of that couple, so I used them. Anyway, I happen to like both Pattie and Olivia!
It's the same case with the pictures of the other Beatles. I simply had a lot of Beatle photos that I wanted to share.
But again, all my videos are old! This one is from 13 years ago! I don't really have time these days to edit videos or make any more of them. I have other videos that feature Olivia more prominently and Dhani is included as well.

I've always wondered how deep George 'got into' pedal steel playing. Not enough to feel comfortable recording it, but I'm not sure why because he kept up with slide.

Great video . George really honed his music, didn't he? This song was recorded for the ATMP album, but only included in the 2001's album reissue, can you believe it? I wish we'd heard more of his songs, much earlier...

I can't quite work out why this was left off the original triple album (especially when I remember the aural torture of Sides 5 and 6 "the Apple Jam) but so glad it was re-worked for the 30th Anniversary re-issue. It's simply beautiful.
Apparently, this song was either incomplete or not good enough to be released in 1970. Pete Drake's pedal steel guitar playing from 1970 was kept and most/all of the other instruments were re-recorded in 2000. I don't know whether the lead vocal is the original or George from 2000. It sounds pretty good in this form. And Pete Drake's part is outstanding and features heavily throughout. You could say that George completed the song as a tribute to Pete Drake.
