As someone who wants to come back to the art world after almost twenty years away from it, your videos give so much hope and make me believe I can actually do it! Thank you ❤🙏
Another good thing for newer businesses to note is that for packaging you can get FREE mailers, boxes, and thermal packaging shipment stickers when you sign up for a USPS business account, which is also free to do. I am set on thermal shipment labels for quite a while! And I got a cheap thermal printer from Amazon.
Honestly, your videos make me cry a little each time because I feel so encouraged to actually try things that I always put off because I was afraid of failing again.
We need like a full blown Tammy TED talk because every video you make is truly so inspiring but also informative?! I don't know how you do it, but I'm constantly in awe and telling my friends how you've built an amazing business and art practice. I think everyone kinda wants to be you and it's crazy!!! You deserve all the love
Honestly, I started on Etsy back in 2010 and I genuinely wish I had put more effort into social media then. I’ve been doing primarily in person markets the last few years but I’m physically exhausted. I planned to take a break and come back to online sales with my website next year and you’ve been my inspiration to continue.❤
I started an Etsy shop to sell my little clay creations and bracelets, and this video was really helpful to me as a beginner. Like, really, you are such an inspiration to me. Have an amazing day to anyone reading. 🫶
I never comment on videos, genuinely I stay behind the scenes even though in real life I’m someone who is extremely extroverted and open in praise. But when it comes to art I feel like I hide myself and my thoughts. Still, seeing all your videos has inspired me sooo deeply that I have started calling myself an artist! I’ve never produced anything LOL but that’s what I am and I may as well start believing it even in my speech. I’m so grateful people like you don’t gatekeep and recognize that there’s enough to go around for everyone.
I'm 13 years old and I'm obsessed with art and creating my own things . I even started my own small biz but now stopped cuz it's final season . I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL ❤
So excited for you, I had this dream at 12 but my life wasn't healthy enough at the time being under 18 in the home I was and I'm finally able to start it as a source of income at 24. It happens! ❤
Sidenote…the color grading (i think thats what its called) in your video is gorgeous. I love how everything besides the art around your desk is shades of black and white. Idk the colors and the placement of the colors on this video is extremely nice
Dear Tammy, Im in 6th grade and at school, we have this class called 'juniour entrepreneur' or something like that. I wanted to make and sell clay stuff, and so I went on TH-cam to take some ideas, and I'm grateful that I stumbled upon your channel. You are such an inspiration to me❤❤❤ I love u and tysm for this video it will really help me!!!❤❤
hi! i watch your video's while making my own clay art and its so therapeutic to watch your content! your little desk friends are adorable and i already have two of them that live on my desk and watch me design! seriously love your work!
I’ve been watching clay videos on autoplay, and this one started playing. A minute and a half half in and I started to tear up because I really needed this encouragement❤
You're videos are so sweet, informational, and encouraging Tammy. You've made such a big difference with my confidence of starting my own shop. I can't wait to come back here and let you know when I've made it. ❤
I love how you are so open to sharing and as someone who is looking to kickstart something (no creative background). I actually feel empowered that all is possible 🎉 love your videos so much!
Thank you for your video. I binge watched your videos and find myself restarting my clay business as well after 4 years on hiatus. Your videos gives me an inspiration and courage to be consistent and market my products. Hoping I can also start my youtube channel the soonest. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for your videos! I'd love one about handling customer problems. I sold online for 10 years but never learned a healthy way to deal with customer issues, so my anxiety got to be too much! I feared my inbox...
You really are a cosy business - I feel so calm and centred listening to you🙏🏽❤ I have to say I struggle with social media as it takes up so much time and I genuinely dislike it and being on it. Before socials really were important I'd earn more as an artist by going to a networking art event every few weeks - so much less time! Now even there people only want to see your socials.😞
Hello Tammy ! Thank you so much for all those informational videos on small business & being an artist. It has nothing to do with my own job (I'm a records manager) but I love understanding how other people work !!!
Thank you so so much for helping my mind understand how this all works. Still something that’s scary but learning from you made me feel like I’ll find a way also. I use to just watch your channel because you calm my mind and have pretty work. So glad I ran into this video tonight. ❤
Thanks for the advice Tammy! Very lucky to be able to watch this video. I also make polymer clay molds for sale. and are learning about selling online in my own way😖 This video was really helpful to me! Thank you for sharing very great tips. and I wish you have a great day and a lots of smiles! :))🤍✨
You have been such a huge inspiration for me to start loving and making my own art and I never would of been where I am with it if it weren't for you! ily girlie tysm ❤
I have no interest in starting my own business. I don’t even make art 😂 but I love your videos and just have to say you’ve become so much more confident and articulate on camera over the years. I enjoy each and every video ❤
Personally, I dislike packing peanuts. A few items I've bought off ebay came packaged with them, and they're such a mess to sift through. I buy art dolls and those are packaged to the hilt... But it's ok because they're very expensive... I'm kinda surprised your little creations make it through the USPS without damage, but I'm glad it's working for you. Great video! Always love hearing what you share, and seeing how you've blossomed over the past few years! 😘💞💖
As someone who is very introverted, I probably can’t do booths and events so I heavily rely on my website and social media. I do hope to become a more confident person so I can do things that require me to be seen 😅 and I know being more confident will help my business grow 🌷
Go for it now. Being shy and introverted is all in your head and the more you tell youreself it, the more you manifest it. Do you want to be a grandma sitting in regret or do you want to tell your grandkids how you sold your art at all those vendors? Like what is the worse that can happen? Someone doesnt buy your stuff? Someone thinks your ugly? Soo???? Do ittt
Hi Tammy! I love your character’s and designs❤. You should make incense holders! I think your characters would already be perfect with a small hole on top for incense and a little tray underneath 😊
Why are these comments on every video about how to grow a business? This is so negative and limiting beliefs don’t only hurt you as the comment poster but others who may have a dream and just be starting.
How much time do you usually spend on each product? I want to make a lot of different things but I have no idea how much of each products I need to make before I list it?
Tysm for your explaination ❤ Its easy to understand when l dont have the slightest idea on how to grow bussiness.. I remember my juniors paying me back in middle school for my drawing, l just gave them for free since l luv drawing.. silly me didnt know bussiness😂😂
This is so inspiring! Is it okay to use same oven to bake the clay and bake breada? like not immediaty but simultaneously.. I only have 1 oven and i’m not sure once i baked clay on it i can still use it to bake bread/food
When you say that the sale of your creations is your main source of income, this means that the income you receive from your sponsors is less than that generated by the sale of your creations ?
I just purchased a laser engraver for personal projects and ended up having to buy a bunch of safety equipment to run it. I want to sell some stuff on the side to recover some of the costs and to eventually buy a fiber laser but don't want to do this full time. What platform should I be looking into to sell them for part time only? I really like slate/stone engraving and have some product ideas/original art I can make
How do you make your stickers and enamel pins and the papers you use to put the enamel pins on? 🤨 also thank u so much for this video, bc after watching a BUNCH of cute clay artist like you, I might actually start selling my clay ❤
As someone who is still stuck at distributing her products online, I'm struggling to identify where I can get some packaging materials for my products, and how do I ship it when someone has posted his/her order?
Last time I saw one of your videos was about a year ago.. you have change a lot in a good way, :) anyway I just want to say this is not for every one, you have to be good and very very lucky and even then you may still have problems like me..,lol. I bought everything for this and I learn to do it, I am very handy with my hands but and is BIG BUT my hands are so hot I melt the clay, I never can finished :( .
on your place i would make a shop not on shopify but professional one on laravel, so you dont have to pay for comissions on sales and every transaction
This video made me envious and now I’m an even more depressed 40 year old who feels like a complete failure than ever before. Teenagers managed to create $100,000+ businesses all by themselves.
this is exactly why you shouldn’t watch these videos if you don’t have the happiness in your heart for other people. Instead of focusing on what you don’t have, why don’t you focus about using the rest of your life to achieve what you do want. Everybody is capable of succeeding and envy is not healthy.
As someone who wants to come back to the art world after almost twenty years away from it, your videos give so much hope and make me believe I can actually do it! Thank you ❤🙏

you got it!!
Same ❤❤❤❤
Fingers crossed for your comeback!

that’s so cute
OMG I JUST REALIZED THAT TOO!!!!
Are you reading my mind?? Each video that comes out it’s like you’re making them @ me but at the same time im telling my brain to chill lol

Cherish this dream young one! I'm 44 and coming back to my 12 year old self to listen to what she wanted to do. That's where the gold is. 🥰
That's wonderfully fantastic, the earlier you set yourself up with your business the more time you will have to become successful, you've got this!!

Hi Tammy!! Can you please do a video about tips on resining charms/desk buddies? Thank you!!

Does that UV resin brand get yellowish over time? I have tried different brands, but they became yellowish after about a year.
Thanks Tammy, always so much wonderful info 🐨💞👏🏼

Very informative video, thank you 😊 I have a question - how you make Amazon shop store?
Yay, new Uncomfy video! ❤
thank you tammy, im honestly so nervous about starting all of this sometime and this helped me alot, thanks again
Great video - though I think including your thoughts on pricing would have been even more beneficial.
I really want to start a small business of my own, I just don't see myself in a normal 9-5 job and I love doing creative works
Me encanta tu trabajo todo está muy lindo ❤

If you haven’t built a large audience yet, would you recommend having both an Etsy and selling on your own website?
