Matt Fockler “ Going to Write a Song “

I stopped into Matt’s house in Montrose South Dakota while traveling for gigs. I asked Matt to play one of his songs for me and he did . Matt runs the Montrose music fest which is more about community than it is about ego. Wonderful little festival. Matt is also one of my favorite writers.

Well damn.
I'm a "couch strummer"/ song writer myself, although I rarely intend to write. It just happens.
That was the coolest shit I've heard in a while.
The way you used the "song structure" parts is genius.
Great job brother!
PS, I do the Neil Young, harmonica rack thing, and am told by my friends I mimick him pretty good.
I noticed a little of Neil's style in parts of your song, are you a fan, or do any of his material?
I'm a 57 year old North Carolina redneck, and even though in some songs he talked shit about the south, I still respect his work.
